Me, being half anti-social, would agree with all of those except 4 (I do want a relationship, just not now) and 9 (I'm quite modest, and don't try to make myself out to be some genius).
I would especially agree with 2 and 7, I really don't give a crap what people think or say about me, nor do I want to bother being part of some drama! (in High School now anyways).

Most of that I can agree with, although I wouldn't consider myself anti-socialDarth-Caedus
Yeah, same here.
Why not retitle it, "Ten Reasons to Justify My Lifestyle" :P?Video_Game_Kinglol nice. and after 17 years of being anti-social and about 2 months of not being anti-social, i can safely say that there are no valid reasons to be act anti-socially of your own accord. (not to diss the people who say they enjoy "being alone" sometimes, but enjoying being alone and having an all around anti-social personality are different things.)
I agree with most of it up to the bits about being arrogant. Being arrogant serves NO purpose, and never has. Showing people you can do something by incidence and the mere chance they were watching is 100x better than telling everyone you can do something, or are something that should be impressive to them. And sitting there convincing your ego that it was right is a sad thing to do.
Small talk is pretty annoying but you have to admit, it tends to be the more female side of the species who feel a compulsion to talk about **** that is irrelevant.Â
Yeah but anti-social people dont have fun.

The best things in life takes time and work, and that means getting past the crappy moments in life, and being anti-social is basically one's excuse for being lazy or giving up on oneself.
"The walls weren't put there to stop you, they were put there to see how badly you want it." - Randy Pausch
That quote can refer to many things, and being anti-social only shows how weak you are with giving up on basic things in life. I'm not referring to everyone that is anti-social, because I know many people are here, and admit it, and wish you could be doing better in life; I'm referring to the people who know they are, and think they are proud of it.

Some people have poor or no social skills, and a lack of confidence, so it's not as straight forward as you make it sound.Â

I edited my post if you had not noticed. I added that I understand that some people know they are, but wish they could do better. Those are the people who do lack confidence like you say.
I'm just mostly targetting people who are proud of holding title of "anti-social" and how it supposedly has benefits like the ones the guy in the article listed.

Ohh no... Yeah I agree with you there, that website makes a loser look like a king on a grand thrown.Â
No one here is antisocial... at least I hope not. Being antisocial is a DISORDER. It's a medical term nearly synonymous with psychotic. An antisocial person plots to kill others, they do disturbing and horrifying things, they are not people who just don't like to associate with other people. Everyone seems to confuse it with unsocial. Anyway, I'll continue being social.. that list was stupid.Dark__LinkHardy har har...I'm sure you know what we mean.
I already knew all that after 6 years of being a loner. The main reason I'm anti-social is because a lot people bore me to tears. I have a bad habit of getting invited to really bad parties as well. I try to avoid those as much as possible because they always lead a very uncomfortable awkward boring time. [QUOTE="Nerd_Man"]Basic things in life? Having a social life should be a basic thing people have, yet so many people are afraid to exploit it. I think everyone does have that social aspect in them somewhere, it's just, not everyone knows how to exploit it well, or feel unfomfortable doing so. I think it just takes more experience, and getting used to if you're one of those people who feel that way. The steps may not seem easy, cause that means you would actually have to go out and communicate with people and make friends, but I think in the end things would make you better off.
Not everyone is a stuck-up soul who throws crappy parties afterall, you're just too used to being around those people, forgetting there's a whole world of different people out there.
