Legion.I wanted to love this movie. It certainly had its moments. Overall though I was annoyed the way it ended and it completely killed the movie for me.

[QUOTE="MrGeezer"]Way to miss the point.Jazz_FanHow? All that stuff about evolution, man and god is just a cop out for how wrong he was.
Because it's not ABOUT him being right, any more than Alien is meant to predict what's going to happen in the next couple centuries. What it is is a symbolic exhaltation of the divine power of science.
The point isn't to say "this is what the world will be like in 2001", it is a fictional story about science being the path towards the divine. Words like "right" or "wrong" don't even apply, since that's not what the movie is about. You'd might as well critize the Lord of the Rings because there's no such thing as a Hobbit. You are aware that it is science FICTION, aren't you?
I think we can all agree that everything by Stanley Kubrick is a bunch of bull filled with pretension.Jazz_FanNo, we can't.
[QUOTE="D_Battery"]Ye'd best not be dragging Arthur C. Clarke into the mire with him now. :evil:Jazz_Fan
Is that the idiot guy who wrongly predicted the future? Guess what, it is 2010 now and nothing.
And no. Where the hell did you get that from anyway? Arthur C. Clarke was an author, and he didn't try to predict the future. I think that some of the comic book movies of the last decade will down in history as some of the worst films ever made.I heard that Legion was horrible. I really wasn't fond of Year One.sinistra45Year One was such a disappointment.
Anyone seen Clash of the Titans? That had so many plot holes lolCleanPlayerI liked it. I was more paying attention to the monster's and the special effects. Distracted me from any plot holes.
[QUOTE="JPOBS"]The WickermanWilfred_OwenHow? Overall an utterly terrible movie. Cage running up in that bear suit and decking that lady almost made me piss my pants laughing the first time I saw it though, especially the way he just casually jogged up to her. :P

Yeah, that's like saying the book A Scanner Darkly is wrong because it takes place in 1995, and there wasn't actually a huge conspiracy against the United States involving a highly addictive drug called Substance D in that year. Fiction can't be wrong because it is fiction.[QUOTE="harashawn"] Yeah, that's like saying the book A Scanner Darkly is wrong because it takes place in 1995, and there wasn't actually a huge conspiracy against the United States involving a highly addictive drug called Substance D in that year. Ah screw it, just look at my above post. :PI didn't think you were serious, but I had to express the fact that I agreed with MrGeezer, since that rarely occurs.

my buddy liked Meet the Spartans, even though it was completely horrible.sinistra45I thought the movie was terrible but I still don't hate it. Reason I can't hate it is because I met one of the people who was in it in real life. I have only met 2 celebrities face to face in my life and actually got to talk to them. Both we're while I was working at a movie theater in Las Vegas. One was Mike Tyson and my god he is such a piece of..... anyways. The other was Kevin Sorbo. He came in with his wife on a slow day. I saw him standing in the lobby and was not sure if it was him so I went up and said hi. He was such a nice guy in person. I did not get alot of time to talk to him cause his movie was starting. He was seeing Thirteen Days, older Kevin Costner flick. This was awhile ago.
