Does anyone think that a considerable number of Republicans still care about the fact that Romney is a Mormon? Can the lack of Evangelical voters still play a large role in whether or not Romney is electedDoes anyone think that a considerable number of Republicans still care about the fact that Romney is a Morman? I haven't heard anyone saying things about him being a Mormon.

Main thing I've heard gim being ridiculed for was his "Binders full of women" comment.

I think most of the people who would care that Romney's a Mormon are probably also voting against Obama because they think he's a Muslim.

I think most evangelicals decided eventually on voting for the "lesser evil", with Barry being worse in their eyes.

I've seen a few religiously driven people speak down on Romney for being a Mormon and a fair number of atheists. However a few of those religious types also seemed to think Obama is a Muslim and as such worse and the atheists in almost every case weren't going to vote for him anyway. Honestly if he is elected I hope to hell he funds NASA more so he can send a rocket to find God on Kolob or whatever. Seriously why the f*ck would you remove funding from NASA Obama? Liberals f*cking love sciencey stuff.

Nope. Romney has nearly an identical approval rating from Evangelicals that Bush did.

"A recent Pew Research poll showed that 74 percent of white evangelicals support Romney, a percentage point higher than Sen. John McCain when he was the Republican nominee."

Mormonism isn't a very popular religion overall, not sure many people know enough about it to criticize him for it or vote for him because of it

I doubt there will be much of an effect. I think there is about a snowballs chance in hell that a significant percentage of the Christian Right opts to vote for Obama over Romney solely based on the faith of either candidate.

I know how Obama could easily win.

Hundreds of millions of fliers that tell exactly what romney's religious beliefs are: baptizing dead Jews, Owning his own planet when he dies, magic underwear, ect.

Easy.

Funny how absolute hatred of President Obama makes it a lot easier to deal with Mitt's Mormonism. Primary season: We need to worry that Mitt might bring his Mormonism into the Oval Office and try to convert us. Presidential Election Season: Anyone is better than that socialist crazy Obama, so we're fine with Mitt's Mormonism.

This. The most that most people would know about Mormonism came from a hilarious south park episode. I find it to be a bit off base, but I'm not here to judge

All else being equal, I'd rather have a president who makes use of critical thinking and reason rather than faith.

I'm kinda surprised that so many have embraced a Mormon. I guess it's more popular now to elect the "first" whatever, like the first black or the first Mormon.
