I wonder how they are going to incorporate hulk into this. Since you know he could take them all out single handed.

I don't know about that. He should be in it though because SPOILER at the end of The Hulk Tony Stark walks in and speaks to the general guy and blah blah blah SPOILER.

I knew movies lost their originality but I didn't know people actually liked it that way. People were cheering for one of the 5 superhero movies coming out next year, after 4 came out this year.

Superhero movies are awesome. I mean if you would rather go see another romantic comedy go right ahead. Only 10 of those come out every year.

No they are not. Granted some can be, must most of them have the same generic plot lay out.

And what the heck do romantic comedies have to do about this? I agree that they should be slapped off the earth but really? Since there are more of them it automatically makes 5 superhero movies in a year good?

This is the same argument used for people who don't like kinect. and it is a pointless argument. It still doesn't adress the fact that originality is dead like the kinect argument doesn't adress the fact tha good titles were cancelled and resources are being used where they could be used somewhere else. Me not watching the movies doesn't change anything, it doesn't solve any problems.

Originality is not dead. It's still out there and releasing. People just choose to be pessimistic and focus on what they don't like.

This is been the way for a very long time, in movies and games. Original movies/games are made less frequently thaan "popular" choices. Not a big deal.

But really, FIVE! Do we need FIVE. If it was just the avengers and maybe a DC movie it would be fine. But we get a sequel to a movie nobody likes, a reboot of a triliogy that just ended a few years ago, an avengers movie, a new batman, and a new superman. Why do we need all 5? It's just a waste of time and money for the studios.

I know of Avengers, Batman, and Spider Man. I agree with you on Spider Man but only because of the direction they're taking with it. I'm not so sure a new Superman is coming out next year though as I really haven't heard any progress on it at all. Even if it were five movies, five over the span of year isn't bad to me.

I've seen you post the same thing in about three super hero film threads. I suggest if you have nothing better to do, get a life.

What are you talking about. The only other thread I was in before this one was the spider man one from yesterday or the day before and all I said is that the spiderman movie was going to be predictable. Before you make things up, please make sure they are true.

And lol at "get a life". Implying that making a post takes more than a minute to do.

So you just lied.

aw hell ****** yeah!

so excited! :D

I'ts kinda of a roundhouse kick of win for me in the superhero department.

new Batman (fav hero)

new Avengers (favorite team and fav hero - Iron Man)

new Spider-Man (another favorite)

those three are my all time favorite mainstream superheroes.

On top of that, the Star Trek sequel, Godzilla reboot (supposed to be coming next year), and a few others that i'm forgeting about at the moment.

Gave me goosebumps; I can't believe an honest-to-God interconnected Marvel Universe has been taking shape on screen. Even with the reprehensible Joss Whedon helming this, my hype meter is pegged.

There was some behind-the-scenes dispute between Edward Norton and Marvel Studios when The Incredible Hulk was released a few years back, I forget the particulars of it. Ruffalo will also do the stop motion work for Hulk, and Lou Ferrigno will reprise his role as the Hulk's voice.

I was hoping for some actor consistency. That must mean Ed Norton didn't want to continue the role. He wasn't bad.

My problem with Joss Whedon is his dialog; he has already said that he will be doing rewrites on the script, and while his cutesy wordplay worked fine on a show called "Buffy the Vampire Slayer", he seems unable to turn it off. I really don't want to see Thor describing himself as "being all smite-y" or anything of the sort, and I have much trepidation that the Joss will not be able to help himself.

Apparently Norton wanted script and editorial input and almost didn't do any publicity for the Hulk movie. Given how difficult it seems like he was to work with, I'm not at all surprised the studio opted for someone with less of a prima donna attitude

[QUOTE="xaos"][QUOTE="Hallenbeck77"][QUOTE="BranKetra"] I was hoping for some actor consistency. That must mean Ed Norton didn't want to continue the role. He wasn't bad.

He wasn't. Like him in the role better than Eric Bana.

Apparently Norton wanted script and editorial input and almost didn't do any publicity for the Hulk movie. Given how difficult it seems like he was to work with, I'm not at all surprised the studio opted for someone with less of a prima donna attitude

I remember hearing that didn't promo the movie much. Shame, because the Hulk movie he did was enjoyable.

Me too! Now let's hope that Marvel gets some of their character rights back, I definitely want to see the Fantastic Four in this MCU! :)

can i ask what is wrong with Joss Whedon? at the time they mentioned him as the director people were really happy that he was hired to do the job.

I love Joss Whedon. He's written X-men comics I believe, so if the Marvel producers really thought it was an issue, I don't think they'd bring him aboard. But that being said, I love his dialogue. IMO too many superhero movies suffer from boring and straight action dialogue. Thor was pretty awful in this regard complete with the ol' "I'm proud of you, my son" speech at the end, and *if* Joss Whedon brings a little spice, I'll welcome it. But I think he's got enough respect for the original characters he'll let them do their own thing.

See, I've read his Astonishing X-Men stuff, and while I thought that the plotting was mostly solid, the dialog sounded much more like Buffy and the gang trading bon mots than the established voices of the characters he was writing. I've really never seen him do anything that wasn't packed to overflowing with the same cutesy wordplay he always does, whether his script doctoring for Alien Resurrection, Buffy, Firefly or the Astonishing X-Men run Edit: Dollhouse had it too :(
