Bleach will suck you in like that initially but it gets boring very quickly once you're caught up. The best is a draw between Black Lagoon, Captain Bebop, Elfen Lied and Deathnote.
Utawarerumono (nuff said) Full Metal Alchemist (1st or 2nd one) Naruto (hate it but it survived this long so....) Full Metal Panic (love Fummoffu XD) Hayate no Gotoku (personal favourite) Deathnote (seriously) Higurashi no Naku Koro Ni (love the murder cases) Well those are a few of what I think are the best. Anyways, the best anime I think is any of those in my list (they all have different genre except for Deathnote and Higurashi... I think XDDD)

I'ld say they'ere better than the main arcs, the main arcs are too generic i only don't like the fillers when they jump right into the middle of another arc
Code Geass R1+2, Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann, Macross Frontier, Death Note, The Girl Who Leapt Through Time, Bleach, Naruto, Elfen Lied. these are just off of the top of my head, there are too many good ones to choose favourites.
I'm at episode 219 of Bleach and it's my favorite running anime right now. "Finished" anime favorites are Cowboy Bebop, neon genesis evangelion, Code Geass, Haruhi Suzumiya, Claymore... I'm just gonna stop before I count up all of the ones I like...

166 episodes in week? If the episodes are about 30 minutes long, you spent nearly 50 hours just watching one anime...:?spazzx625
It's more like 20 minutes, and most people usually skip the first 4 minutes that are the intro song. 160 episodes in a week still sounds like a bit too much >_> but that show really did suck you in, especially during the first 60 episodes I spent a few weeks myself trying to catch up on Bleach episodes and during that time I watched at least 3-6 episodes every day.
Cowboy Bebop. Everything else I've seen makes me want to stab my eyes out. (except Miyazaki's stuff, but I don't want to disservice his work by calling it anime)
