My favorite directors are Tarantino, Kubrick, and Scorsese. They all produce(d) consistently great stuff.quiglythegreatTarantino for sure...he's literally the shyte
John Woo is the greatest action director of all time. Just check his pre-hollywood work.
Some of my IMDB 10's worth mentioning.
Hard Boiled
City of God
American Beauty.
LOTR:ROTK
Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom (*yes, this is the best one)
Platoon
Seven Samurai
Who Framed Roger Rabbit.
Heathers.
And my personal favourite of all time.
Commando.
Personally I didn't like the Godfather movies. 1 was good but not two or three. If you read the book you would understand. Godfather part 1 and 2 are completely made up by francis for copolla. The book was actually just Godfather1 and the flashbacks from godfather 2. Thats it. I hated number too. I don't want to see the mafia with drama, drugs, and failing. and american **** wifes yelling thatthey arent treated fairly (Kay adams) andyways.
Fight Club is my all time favorite movie.
Hmmm, a few spring to mind: (Not in order)
- The Aviator
- Donnie Darko
- Lord of the Rings: Return of the King
- V for Vendetta
- Chicago
- Bowling for Columbine
- Million Dollar Baby
- Finding Neverland
- Ray
- The Godfather (1)
Andonio
Good list...four from 2004. Trend? :P
1. Braveheart
2. Black Hawk Down
3. Saving Private Ryan
4. Full Metal Jacket
There is a trend there too :D
So many...
Rat Race
Robin Hood and the Men in Tights
El Mariachi Trilogy
V for Vendetta
The Motorcycle Diaries
Viva Zapata!
I like a lot of others, but these ones are up high.
"The Godfather" is magnificent, and is definitely one of the best.
My favourite movie is "Where Eagles Dare", though.

Dawn of the Dead remake or original?OH YEAH Forest Grump Was one of the best!Riley767
Forrest Gump! Classic and it has something for everyone. Other movies that follow close are Remember the Titans and Finding Neverland.Phantom_WingHorrible, horrible movies. Forrest Gump I have to freaking crusade against because for some reason people refuse to look at that movie with any seriousness at all and it's supposed to be serious. The movie is as stupid as it alleges Forrest to be.
My Favorites in no particular order are
1.The Shawshank Redemption - I would say this is the best
2.Ferris Bueller's day off
3.Blade
4.Blade 2
5.Blue Streak
6.Spiderman
7.Spiderman 2
8.American pie 2
9.American pie
10.LOTR 1
11.LOTR 2
12.LOTR 3
13.American History X
14.Dogma
15.Jay and silent Bob Strike back
16.Terminator 2
17.Terminator 3
18.Die Hard
19.Die Hard 2
20.Die Hard 3
21.Snatch - On par with Ferris Bular and Shawshank as my alltime favorite
