Even if it is another 'happily-ever-after' tale, the journey to which it gets there is what we watch. The season finale was good, but I was a little underwhelmed, maybe because of my friends' hype on social media before I got to watch it.
Definitely think Jaime is gonna jump ship and come across. I just hope Bronn joins him as he's one of my favourite characters.
I think Jaime and Tyrrion are going to switch places, more or less. Morally and physically.
Jaime has been trying for so long to do the right thing, and has a good heart, but he either is tempted by that bitch Cersei or is put into tough situations that cause him to do just terrible, terrible things.
Conversely, watching Tyrion has been a pleasure because you don't expect much, but he always does the right thing; he is in essence a miscreant and vagabond by nature, but by practice he is an intellectual, a gentleman, and a really good person, ultimately. He is the ultimate underdog of the show: physically weak, constantly picked on; if he actually did behave badly, you'd be OK with that because you could go "Well, it makes sense, he's had a shitty life" but he doesn't, so you're like "Right on, Tyrion.
But I can't help but feel that, at the end of the season, with Tyrion looking jealous/upset and Jaime finally abandoning what he should have left long ago, the two have more or less switched places. I think Tyrion made a secret pact with Cersei that he hasn't mentioned to Jon or anyone when he went back to talk to her.
And let's remember for a second: Tyrion killed his dad because his dad slept with Shei. He could have just as easily left the capital without murdering a soul, just slipped out of the prison, but no he had to go back, find out his lady was a cheating whore (literally), and kill his dad...but he justifies it by saying he killed his dad out of self defense. LIAR LIAR LIAR!
