[QUOTE="DeeJayInphinity"]Why don't you boycott Best Buy, Circuit CIty, McDonalds, Home Depot, Office Max...? They're all essentially the same. The only difference is their products.
And no I don't boycott anything.Sports-Fan
They really arent, thats an uneducated response. Take Best Buy for example, health care, and wages are statistically higher there than they are at Wal-Mart.

Yes his responce was very uneducated that's why i started ignoring his questions.

Why do I care? Their mission is exactly the same, and as long as WalMart is within the legal limits, the other crap doesn't matter.

All businesses seek to minimize cost and maximize revenue. Wal-Mart just happens to be more successful than most.

"Unhumane"? :? It's a business; not a charity.

Sorry, but I think I stated it correctly.

And if you consider charity "unhumane" then I don't know what the eff humane is. WalMart has donated money in the past, probably a lot more than all of us combined.

Their employees average payment in the company is nearly double the national minimum wage.. If it weren't for Wallmart in many communities, many people would not be able to find jobs.. Sure Wallmart can be dicks but they have gotten sued for it and loss on numerous occassions..

Not to mention Sweatshops are a good thing at this time in those nations.. The people in those sweatshops with out them would have a more brutal and less paying subsitute.. Its a lesser of two evils.. And sweat shops will disppear when these countries become more developed.. China is proof of this.

And which set of morals shall they adhere to? Yours? Mine? I see nothing wrong with employees working for the wages and benefits that they agreed to upon hiring.

Not to mention all business and capitalism in general is immoral.. You can't single out one business of any kind of being immoral, its rediculous.. Because at the end of the day you are still using people for the product and services.. Which is dehumanizing..

 That's great. I think killing any animal for the purpose of consumption counts as "mistreatment." The thing is.. WalMart wouldn't be the only company doing that.

Uh... what? You lost me. Questions that begin with "how do we know..." imply you mean to suggest it is our responsibility as consumers to know the details of every step in the retail chain prior to shopping at a particular store. That's just silly.

I don't really like wal mart because of the people that shop there, but if they are the only place that has something I need or the deal is too good to pass up, I will go there.

I think it is pretty stupid to boycott Wal-Mart because you feel it is, "Bad for America."

Boycott something that needs to be boycotted, China.

Thats good to hear, N8A. You Dont need to be visiting that store anytime soon. Unless zombies take
over and you are one of the last humans surviving and need to re-up on some peanut butter
and clean socks, and even then, they better be free.

In case of a zombia attack, the best places to set up shop are places like sams club. Large amounts of non-perishables, very few entrances, back up power, and running water. You might wanna stop at walmart for guns tho. :P

Wal-mart has cheap guns, but they do have useful ammo.
