The Catholic Church....

The Catholic Church is against the use of condoms which can prevent unwanted pregnancy and STD's such as HIV/AIDS. It says that the only effective way to fight HIV/AIDS is abstinence.

They are telling people not to have sex willy-nilly.  Not, to have sex willy-nilly and not use condoms.

the people that are dangerous are those "abstinence rings" guys that talk to high schoolers. i saw an interview with one in one of my classes last semester and he said that condoms didn't work, so if teenages decided to have sex, they might as well not use condoms.romocop33

I have to say no because like Frag said, they are telling people not to have sex with multiple people and to only have sex with the person you are married to. I think they don't want people to use condoms because they think sex is for having kids only and so if you have sex you need to be able to have kids... why else would they say not to wear that? But yeah, most churches have the stance that you shouldn't have frivolous sex and it should be something for marriage. So they are not promoting the spread of HIV/AIDS, they are hoping that the people of their church follow the correct teachings and don't abuse sex.

  Seeing as the supposed "most faithful" priests and the Pope's themseleves have been discovered to have affairs and sexual relationships through out history which most historians unnamously agree is true.  I would rethink what your saying..
