I think you have the backwards. You're both wrong. Dr. Pepper is best(though it's distributed by Pepsi.) Actually it's distributed by Coke and Pepsi and some independent bottlers. This topic is locked from further discussion.

as a Food Scientist,I will conduct an experiemnt testing these potential values ASAP
of course, time, temperature, and source are at least half of the true formula and not provided.

Fake,
Coke contains phosphoric acid.

as a preservative and for sensory notes
this is for the flavoring
DONT KILL MY JOY, KILL JOY!
That soda is awful, as most are what's the big deal?X360PS3AMD05
actually it is a universally respected soft drink, and for good reason.
of course, it depends on where you are from...Coke tastes different in just about every single country. I remember having German coke and it was just..plain..terible.
Mexican Coke is amazing (cane sugar > near-synethic sugar), and American coke is a close second
We are all dead. :(What do you mean at a time? Do they kill off the other person(s) who know?

+1 *thumbs up*Dr. Pepper is better than both of them.
dr.pepper overpowers any flaver, i can put 2 oz of Dr.pepper in 8 oz of vodka and not taste the vodkano cocaine no care. Whats the allowable amount of cocaine in a beverage?musclesergetoday? in america? zero
I can't believe nobody's reverse engineered or tested it yet, or even noticed the likely millions of tons of ingredients that Coca Cola buys and transports to its factories.BluRayHiDef
They probably buy decoy ingredients in addition to the real ingredients. Or, they probably buy the ingredients indirectly using some sort of secretive proceess that doesn't allow them to be identified. Or, they probably manufuctur the ingredients themselves.
Is this for real?
no cocaine no care. Whats the allowable amount of cocaine in a beverage?surrealnumber5today? in america? zero
actually Coca Cola has cocaine extract...no actual affect from it, just flavor.
Its funny, there is like this one company in the US that is allowed to process the coca plant (where cocaine comes from), and they have this sweetheart deal with Coca Cola to provide cocaine flavor extract (I think they process coca for medicinal reasons as well).
Funny how a little money in the right political pockets can let you process cocaine
no cocaine no care. Whats the allowable amount of cocaine in a beverage?MushroomWigZero?
I guess thats why they made coke zero.
:P
People still drink that junk?MushroomWigConsidering it's one of the most popular drinks in the world, I'd say ...yes?
Actually, I've heard that it's three people. But in reality, it's probably about 5-10 at least. Imagine if it was just one and that person unexpectedly died.No way that's real. Supposedly only one single person knows what it is at a time.
Pirate700
People still drink that junk?MushroomWigIt's because of the addictive nature of sugar and caffeine.
Not only this, but it's not like any of us could take the recipe of today and go out and duplicate a Coke. :PThe leaked recipe is the original one, not the one they currently use.

Our entire 'fight' against drugs is a farce. So many people make money off of the illegal trade of drugs in the United States. It's ridiculous. Just ask yourself this question, if they really thought that drugs were a serious problem and that the people needed to be helped from this epidemic, then wouldn't it make more sense to offer rehabilitation services instead of jail time?
Actually, I've heard that it's three people.
People still drink that junk?FranklinsteinIt's because of the addictive nature of sugar and caffeine. And more importantly, like so many have already said, why would we want to? It would cost WAY more to make your own coke than to just go to the store and buy a 2 liter for $1.25

I'm pretty sure it's two. And they aren't allowed to travel together in case one has a fatal accident. But even 2 is risky. I mean this is a multi billion dollar industry, I doubt they would risk losing it by only letting 2 people know. But, on the other hand, they have managed to keep this recipe a secret for a very long time. My political science teachers always joke that it only took a year or two for the secret of nuclear weaponry to become common knowledge, but Coca Cola was able to keep their secret for over a hundred years. No way that's real. Supposedly only one single person knows what it is at a time.

Yeah, but try and create that signature taste with those ingredients. It's not just add to a bowl and mix.
You can it is known as a Patent. if that were teh case here wouldn't be the need for it to be secret
you cant copyright a recipe weezyfb
If Coca Cola didn't Patent their product and someone else manages to make "Coca-Cola" by chance and then they sell it and in lab tests they were identical then it would need to be patented to stop this from happening, and for coca cola to make more money when it comes to legal cases xD

And while companies like Pepsi have deduced the general ingredients on their own, none have unlocked the "Merchandise 7X flavoring" that gives Coke its unique taste and bubbly burn.
Linky.

It actually isn't patented, because patents expire and in order to get a patent they would have had to give the ingredients to the patent office, then once it expired coke would lose its intellectual property(the formula), because it would become public domain. Please Log In to post.
