Yup, but it was for the best... sometimes things don't last.... People say not to let a guy/girl get between the friendship.... well, they must not had the girl "messing" with the guy either.... and that's how it ended.

Yeah, it's why I only depend on family now, friends, no matter how long they are around, have a way of leaving you behind one way or another.

Well my mother is unsympathetic/stupid and I could hardly talk to her about this situation, and my sister's only advice thus far is to "Forget about her" ith a slurry of insults directed to the person in question, and some blunt words towards me.
Doesn't really help all that much.

Mathematics - real math, not symbol manipulation - is not for everyone. I struggle with a lot of abstract concepts all the time, but I love the subject. Proving things is still extremely challenging for me, even though I have taken a few classes that have given me (at least in theory) a lot of tools to construct a proof. I have the utmost respect for mathematicians.

I remembered my first exposure to actual proofs during discrete math and linear algebra. Alot of methods are recycled through most proofs here and then. I know, right? When I was hanging out with one of my friends, I mentioned to her that I like Lady GaGa. Immediately afterward she asked if I wanted to hang out with her and about 5 of her girl friends next weekend. Game point.
