First, you should provide proof when you want to support your argument about evolution. Second, about the big bang, here is a quote from Dr. Zakir Naik: "The creation of the universe is explained by astrophysicists as a widely accepted phenomenon, popularly known as ‘The Big Bang’. It is supported by observational and experimental data gathered by astronomers and astrophysicists for decades. According to ‘The Big Bang’, the whole universe was initially one big mass (Primary Nebula). Then there was a ‘Big Bang’ (Secondary Separation) which resulted in the formation of Galaxies. These then divided to form stars, planets, the sun, the moon, etc. The origin of the universe was unique and the probability of it happening by ‘chance’ is nil. The Qur’an contains the following verse regarding the origin of the universe: “Do not the Unbelievers see that the heavens and the earth were joined together (as one unit of Creation), before We clove them asunder?” [Al-Qu’ran 21:30] The striking similarity between the Qur’anic verse and ‘The Big Bang’ is inescapable! How could a book, which first appeared in the deserts of Arabia 1400 years ago, contain this profound scientific truth?"

and if you haven't guessed it already, I'm a Muslim.

[QUOTE="Stumpt25"][QUOTE="crude_darkness"][QUOTE="Funky_Llama"] That's because Darwinism isn't DESIGNED to tell you where the planets come from! That's what the Big Bang Theory's for! And there's no evidence whatsoever for Creationism. None. Whereas, Darwinism can be proved by the fossil record.

how can Darwinism be proved by fossil records? There is not one (yes you heard me, not one) fossil record that proves that humans where monkeys. To prove humans where monkeys you must prove that the human DNA has been altered and there is not one proof of that ever happening. There are far too many missing links all over the place. Secondly, still think about the idea I put forward in the first place, where do planets come from? Or actually where does everything come from? It can't always be there. There should be someone who has created all these things. And that's God.

This guy is right, and further more, CHARLES DARWIN ADMITTED that the eye is so complex, that it would seem EXTRAORDINARILY unlikely that evolution to create it. Further more, If evolution exists (which i dont doubt it does, im just giving another point of view) its an overkill. Man doesnt need to be able to... i dont know... be able to conduct an orchestra and remember all of mozarts symphonies in order to survive... Another point is, if you place some chocolate infront of a child and FIRMLY TELL HIM 'dont you eat that' most likely, the boy will NOT eat it... This defeats the object of evolution, because evolution says that we WOULD take the chocolate, no matter how firmly the child is told... Further more, if you use the theory of chaos, it makes no sence that atoms would form together in order to make the big bang, this makes no sense, AND FURTHER MORE, Engergy is never created or destroyed, just transfered. How does NOTHING CREATE enough energy to cause a giagantic explosion? just somethign to think about

1. Darwin said it was unlikely that the eye could be formed by evolution. It doesn't mean it couldn't happen. I mean it's unlikely I'll get laid tonight but it's not impossible. 2. Maybe this is how we have evolved. If 10,000 years ago you put some meat infront of a caveman or something he would take it whether you told them to or not. So maybe we have evolved to the point where we don't have to take this omnipitant chocolate, much like the fact we do not have to accept that there is a god anymore, unlike when we were spoon fed the "facts" as a kid. 3. So god created the big bang eh? Well, frankly, the bible says otherwise. He said he HAND MADE the earth and whatnot. If there was a big bang, and scientific proof backs this fact, surely this defeats the point of the first few chapters in the bible ergo making the rest unbelivable? "just something to think about" :P

I dont know enough about either of this stuff, but all I know is I dont care. Oh, and after 4000-2000 years of interpretation and misinterpretation the Bible cant be the same now as when it was first made/discovered. CHew on THAT, homies.

[QUOTE="ghostadv"]Although I'm an atheist (or a guy who doesn't give a crap on any religous beliefs), I'll still offer my two cents.

If mankind goes away, God goes away, because without us, no one will believe he exists cuz no one will be around.
RLgun

Goes where? So in order for god to exist humans must exist, and vise versa?

No god = no humans

No humans = no god

This is solid proof that god does not exist. He only exists in people's minds.

True dat

1. Who cares about Darwin? He's credited for starting the theory of evolution, not refining it. He didn't even believe in sexual selection, a process which we now know occurs often in many species.

2. Man's intelligence is a direct evolutionary trait. He has to be able to memorize skills and information in order to know where the best food is and how to get it with only a stick. Music is just one way we have applied these traits to other things.

3. If the boy is hungry, he will take it. Unless he has been specifically taught NOT to take it, in which case the evolutionary advantage of advanced intelligence comes into play again.

4. I'm not going to bother with the rest, read up on the Big Bang Theory.

umm how bout the fact since humans are destined for an infinite life with God and his angels in heaven. At the end of Mankind on earth our Bodies will be united with our souls in Heaven and we will exist in perfect Union between God, and every other person. And we will exist with God for all eternity? Why can humans only exist on earth? And why would God go away if there were no humans?

In the case of human extinction what is to become of god? If he does exist? What will he do without humans? Or any living thing? Think about this.RLgun

Why do you assume he would 'let' us become extinct?

What has chioce got to do with anything? If he saved us from desctruction that wouldn't be affecting our free will. In the same way, if I saved someone from being run over by a bus, that wouldn't be affecting theirs.

Saving someone from being run under a bus isn't affecting free will? Then why doesn't he?

Don't worry, humans won't be extinct. Those who believe in god (i'm a muslim btw) will go to heaven, and those who don't will go to hell. simple.

OOOooh it's so simple, I always tought chosing your believes required some tought but I guess now I should become a muslim. Thanks.

If a person jumped in front of a bus in a suicide attempt and another person interfered with their choice and saved them against their wishes, would that not be affecting their free will? I fail to see how that would be considered true freedom of choice.

by that logic, the person suiciding would be interfering with the bus driver/passenger's free will.

The apocalypse will come about when god takes an almight holy dump upon the universe, and then he'll sit around for the rest of eternity thinking about his massive dump.

That is, if god exists.

According to the book of Revelation, God will create a new Jerusalem on a new Earth.
