Its kinda old info ... made months ago topic about it... :)
But hm... excited. no...
Curious . yes...
It looks fun for what it is. I wouldn't say I'm excited for it, but I'll watch it sometime for sure. JML897All I'm expecting though is a fun summer movie romp. I saw the trailer during the All-Star game last night and I had never gotten that excited about a movie after I saw the line up of badasses coming together for a movie like this. I was giddy.
He was actually offered the role of the lead, but declined it because he felt their was no substance with his character. So they gave the role to Stallone instead. Why isnt Jean Claude Van Damme in the movie? is he too old to kick ass?

I'll just leave this here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RqmX0SHI_PoOsaka-06
Sold.
No really, I want to see this even though I didn't grow up in the 80's I want more cheesy action movies with awesome one liners and lots of explosions and this looks to fulfil this very well.

This is just false beyond words. Van Damme was offered a part by Stallone but refused to be a part of it.Why isnt Jean Claude Van Damme in the movie? is he too old to kick ass?

"Jean-Claude Van Damme has spoken to totalfilm.com about why he turned down a part in Sylvester Stallone's The Expendables, claiming Stallone was just interested in pitching money and action.
"Stallone gave me a part in his next movie," he told us. "But I ask him about the subject, about the story."
"He said, 'You're gonna make lots of money.' I don't want to hear that, I want to hear what was my character. He was unable to tell what it's going to be."
"[Stallone said:] 'You know, uh, well, the fighting will be good.' [So I said:] 'Sly, what is my character?' So I didn't do the movie."

Its a nostalgia film plain and simple. I want to see it because I enjoy the actors.Every washed up action star in the same film, amazing.

Banks said he was offered the lead role which is not true at all. It was always Stallone's film.Stallone directed it, and co-wrote the movie with himself in mind as the lead the whole time. Banks info was false on what part Van Damme was offered
I'm actually surpised this hasn't happened before, when Stallone and Arnold were at the peak in their careers at movie staring Stallone and Arnold would have sold beyond belief.
Holy crap, this is what next year's movie should be. I tip my hat to you good sir. Fine idea. Salamat.Yes...the Predators...vs. the Expendables deathmatch would be sweet.

[QUOTE="frostybanana"][QUOTE="DJ_Magneto"]Is anyone else excited for this movie like I am? It's another mindless action movie, but... Sylvester Stallone Jason Statham Jet Li Dolph Lundgren Randy Couture Stone Cold Steve Austin Terry Crews Mickey Rourke all on one badass team. Plus, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Bruce Willis are in it. I'm in...Ninja-HippoI dunno, I was excited about that movie that had both Jet Li and Jackie Chan and it wasn't very good. Same as that movie staring De Niro and Al Pacino. :( It was horrible.
HEAT wasnt horrible, Righteous kill was very average

THANKS!
Balls to the wall!

▲ Same here. This is one of those movies that those reviewer elitists just won't get. This is a movie for fans of the 80's and 90's action movies. It is supposed to be cheesy and violent. What would really be funny is if reviewers give it negative reviews based off its story - since when did action movies like this have strong stories. lol. ▲
