it's incredibly rampant on youtube even. I'll usually check out songs from the past or indie stuff and someone will always bring up justin and criticize him in the comment section.

It just gets ****ing annoying when I have to see a million Justin Bieber threads on OT's front page or when the highest rated comments for music videos on youtube are always "LOL people who hate this song are Justin Bieber fan ***s!"

Lets be perfectly honest here, guys make fun of other guys for not being sufficiently masculine in our culture or any culture that has women in it for that matter. It really isn't any petty slight specifically aimed against Justin Beiber much as him getting more media attention and thus more hate as more guys are aware of his existance. The hate is only annoying when it distracts too heavily from other conversations, but it is largely justified if every other guy in existance can get called out for their masculinity (by guys and girls as well) with free reign by the accusers for not living up to some non-uniform standard of manliness.

Have you seen him sing? His voice and appearance cause the release of serotonin in certain regions of the brain which stimulate your sympathetic nervous system. It also does a similar process in your limbic system. The end result is that it causes a state of rage and heightened anger.

In my mind its pretty gay to hate on a succesful 16 teen year old, would you rather there be no pop stars or singers.
His music is catchy, he is from a town near me, like the most famous person in the world is from the same area as I am and the same age as me.
