The Joys of Private Browsing Mode

Private Browsing was introduced in Firefox 3.5, giving users the option of browsing the web without keeping track of their history. A recent Test Pilot study recorded – among other things – the time users activated Private Browsing, and the time they deactivated it. Though what happens in Private Browsing stays in Private Private Browsing – that is, neither Firefox nor Test Pilot records anything during the period – we did learn a few things about timing and duration. I don't think Opera has a private browsing mode, but it's easy to clean the history anyway, so it's not a problem.Lonelynight

My explorer doesn't keep track of any of my history. I shut all of that off the moment I get my system or copy of windows. I just don't like it when the address bar shoots down a big list of **** when I type something into the search or addrees bar.

I don't have anything to hide, so I never use it.SeraphimGoddess

That could be wrong. How come they switch to Private Browsing mode majority during lunch time? I always think some people use private browsing at mignight times, am I correct?
