The last decade- what do we call it?

I was having a conversation with my aunt this morning and came to the point to say something about the last decade but I couldn't think of the right word which was the best to call the last decade. I looked this up when I got back to my apartment and couldn't find an exact label for it. I found so many different names such as the naughts, turn of the century, the ohs, the two-thousands, the oughts, and a few others. I personally think all these names are not good. I think something like twenty zeros (0's) would be a decent fit as it keeps along with the traditional 20's, 30's, 40's ... What do you guys think about this and is it even worth labeling a decade? If not, then are we to reflect something that took place during those years?Edit: I'm talking about the years between 2000 to 2009.

Weren't they just!? We made being an angsty know it all teen who hates the world cool. And then these new little children ripped off our style. But they replaced alternate music and flannel shirts for punk and dark make up.
