The Mavs did it!

They beat the OKC Thunder 4-1 in a late 4th Quarter comeback.

The last time the Mavs were in the Finals was in 2006 against The Heat where they Won the first 2 games before losing 4 straight Games.

Dirk Nowitzki and Jason Terry are the only Teammates left from that 2006 Mavs Team.

So now that the Mavs are in the Finals and The Heat are looking to close out the Bulls, who do you think will bring home the Trophy?

don't have a horse in the race but the heat will curb stomp the mavs...it could even be a sweep.....only way the bench plays a part is if one of the big three get in foul trouble...which they have shown to be able to avoid...all the heat hate is a joke......

[QUOTE="Forza4Champion"][QUOTE="rooktook"]lol but but he has good players on his team!! if he leaves hes going to jienks him self from ever getting a ring..rooktook
he already jinxed himself by leaving cleveland. he didnt have to leave to get more good players on his team

true

I just HATE the hate on Lebron. He is a professional player who stayed in a team for 5 years, playing all by himself and dicided to leave. NBA Stars have not sweared or signed a contract for staying in the same team for all their career. He moved for (one of the worst places to live in America) Cleveland to another team and he didn't do it for the money, as his salary was reduced a lot . Hmm, what's wrong with that?

I want Dallas to win. I'm from Ohio but I'm not a Cavs fan I just think what Lebron did was selfish, greedy, etc.

pero2008

What? He took less money than he could have made in Cleveland. Do you have the same vitriol for free agents in other sports that switch teams? It happens all the time. Whats the big deal?

As a Knick fan, I just want to go on a little rant about Tom Thibodeau really quick.... Everyone was like.. omg he is such a great Coach.. Im so glad the bulls ended up with him rather than Mike D'antoni, see Mike D'antoni's system doesn't work look how good the Bulls are playing in the play offs when the Knicks were out the first round blablabla

All I have to say is Tom Thibs has done nothing that D'antoni hasn't done... In 2005 D'antoni got his team from winning 29 games the previous year to winning 62.. pretty much just like the Bulls... He got them to the Conference finals before they were knocked out, soon to be the same as the Bulls... and He won coach of the year just like Thibs....

He's pretty much the Anti D'antoni...Where as D'antoni was obsessed with offense Tom Thibs is obsessed with Defense... His offensive coaching sucks.. Its so bad that other teams even with Mediocre or terrible defenses can stop them from scoring even one bucket for several minutes at a time. They don't spread the floor well, they never get their shoters like Kyle Corver open shots so he always has to rush them... and if a team like the Heat just clogs the lane so Derrick Rose can't drive in and attack the basket they've got absolutely nothing offensively.

Mark my words Bulls are going to be the new pheonix suns of the Eastern conference. While I don't think Tom Thibedau is a terrible coach by any means, I just don't agree that he is any better than Mike D'antoni.. And I don't think D'antoni is a bad coach either.

I'm going with the Heat. I always believe in the team who emphasizes defense will have a better chance.

The Heat are going to win it all anyway.

I'm a huge Mavs fan and I'm glad my team is going back to the NBA Finals. I want vengeance from Miami from stealing us at winning a championship 5 years ago. That game was rigged from the get-go.

and thats why the Heat dont Deserve to win. they had to cheat to win a championship.

Cheat is right. C+ Heat= CHeat

Well I live in Dallas and do not like the mavs, and hearing all thefans going crazy is making me dislike em even more.

I don't dislike the Heat, but I didn't want them winning in their 1st year together, but now I'd rather they win then the Mavs and I think they can and will do it.

As for Lebron you can't blame him for leaving, look at where the cavs ended up w/o him. Sure he/the media didn't need to make into a huge event but he single handedly got the Cavs to the finals in 07 and single handedly gave them the best record two straight years. He doesn't owe them anything

Yeah I'm pretty pleased about it; I lived in Dallas for 3 years ('02-'05) and have always been down with the Mavs, even during their last few runs as the Chokericks. Dirk's a beast, and I expect him to lift them over the Heat/Bulls. It'll be tough, but it's definitely feasible, especially if they play even better defense then they've been. GO MAVS
