I'll be seeing it. David Fincher's track record has been, uh, hit and miss to say the least. It's rumored that it's going to be three hours long, which I can't imagine. How in the hell do you sell a three hour facebook film? I still think it looks uninteresting, but we'll see.

Facebook's creation has a weird history, especially with the whole accusing the inventor of stealing the idea, etc..

Trailers don't really represent a movie 100%. The Star Trek trailer promised a mindless action movie with sex and explosions and it was actually a really good movie. The trailer of The Social Network doesn't even focus much on the things you mentioned. :)
Looks TERRIBLE. Saw this when I went to go see Inception. How could ANYONE want to watch this? When the preview ended, I yelled out "Lame!!!!" and people started laughing haha xD
Saw this when i went to go see Inception. When the preview ended, one of the guys we were with yelled out "Lame!!!" We were all sat thinking, 'who the heck yells stuff out in a movie theatre?" Nobody laughed or anything, it was pretty awkward.

Now you're looking for the odd frame in the trailer to try and force the movie into the genre you're claiming it is? :? Dude, seriously, this movie is NOTHING like you describe. It's a really dark comedy. It's not a cliched teen movie at all. Literally nothing like that. BINGO! Seriously even though Dave Fincher has been a love him or hate him kind of director, I doubt he would ever direct a cliched teen movie. :)
This is one of my most anticipated movies of the year. I feel like the people saying this looks uninteresting saw a completely different trailer than I did. I also feel like those same people don't know the story at all, and just think it's bad because it pertains to Facebook. "herp derp how can a movie about facebook be interesting?" Um, because it has an interesting story behind it? People really need to make sure they know what they're talking about before they start complaining.
I saw the trailer before Inception... it looked less ridiculous then I had imagined, but the only reason I will be seeing it is for Reznor. :P The cast is awful... Michael Cera ver. 1.1, and Justin Timberlake...
