I wanted to like this more, but I might give it a shot. Thoughts, OT? Are you a fan of The Naked Gun movies? Would you be interested in this one?

The original personnel (actors, writers, producers, etc...,) made something which could never be mimicked in the capacity of a remake. Nothing, absolutely nothing about that trailer enticed me to see the film.
Really enjoyed the original movies and like Liam Neeson’s work but I don’t think I’m on board for this. Did chuckle at the OJ Simpson bit though.
That was pretty terrible but the OJ diss was amazing.
Liam Neeson, in a funny role? I'm willing to give it a shot.

I think it could be remade, I just think society has sort of moved on.
I remember even back in the day the Scary Movie spoofs were getting kind of stale. And I doubt you could make a Spaceballs-type spoof these days.
I don't know, has comedy gotten too serious? Lol

Seems to me the humor of today does not compare with the days of The Naked Gun: From The Files of Police Squad. You can't replicate those films or the brief television series. Spaceballs, Airplane, Back To School, etc...., just could not be properly replicated. The slapstick humor is an ancient memory IMO. The actors and actresses aren't on the level when it comes to comedy.
I watched The Naked Gun trilogy during Lockdown and was surprised how hilarious it was as an adult. Leslie Nielson deadpan delivery along with George Kennedy and OJ Simpson really made those films.
