The new Simpsons was AWFUL

Honestly. I watched it with 5 friends, and it got maybe 3 real laughs and a handfull of pity chuckles. Its painful to watch. Probably one of the least entertaining cartoons out right now... and that makes me sad :(

I love the Simpsons! I think they've just gotten better. The old stuff seems terribly animated and not funny. But the new one tonight actually made me crack up during the "squeaky toy" part. I have like 10 episodes on my DVR and I watch all of them over and over. THE SIMPSONS ARE GREAT! MATT SAID THERE IS NO END IN SIGHT! WOO-HOO!

I haven't watched the Simpsons in at least 2-3 years. That got old for me awhile back.
I'm still not sick of South Park though.

Agreed. That was the first time I laughed at the Simpsons in a long time. I'll have to go back and watch the X-files episode, "Simpson tide", or the Hank Scorpio one if I want a good laugh again.

I loved the begining with 'back in the day' of the simpsons characters even if it messes with the simpsons history.. but when they started to pay more attention to the simpsons mansion and crap like the episode when straight downhill... the scene with the crazy cat lady though cracked me up...

I agree.....I haven't laughed over a Simpson's episode in years......it's sad. Hopefully the movie will save them.

I think Simpsons lead the way for the more "risque" cartoons that followed. First it was futurama, with the word "ass" and adult themes, then family guy. I think they've all reached their peaks now, there's only so much they can do with it I suppose.

one of the strange things i've noticed about that show is that when i watch an episode when its first run on sunday nights.. i'm generally of the feeling of "meh, this isn't good. the older episodes were much better" but then in like 2 years or so when it makes it to syndication, i see it again and i'm like "wow. that episode was pretty good." its like it needs a year or so to stew and become more funny....
