I haven't seen much of it, but what I did see didn't really drag me in. I still prefer Frasier. But then, I barely ever watch TV programs, so what do I know?

english Office > American Office.

Peep Show and Arrested Devlopment tie that award.

Simpsons>All Other Shows, even though it's animated.rockguy92

Nah. That's not true in a universal sense. If you want a serious theme in your programming, a comedy-oriented program won't cut it. And for more than a decade, Simpsons really hasn't been funny. It has its moments, but they are flashes in the pan - nothing like the earlier episodes, which presented one moment of hilarity after another.

Frasier is a great show, and I feel its too often over looked lately. Many of the episodes (The dead thing washing up on the beach when they were throwing the house party, Frasier unknowingly giving a speech in Klingon at his son's barmitzvah, and a lot of others) were pure genius, but when I mention it to my friends, they either tell me that they never bothered to watch it or didn't understand the humor in it. Its sad!

The problem with Frasier is that it doesn't 'hook' new viewers very well. You come to appreciate it over time, but because its plotlines and characters are rather complicated, and because these are not characters to whom an average viewer will relate, most people won't enjoy it at first.

Friends and Seinfeld became wildly popular because their characters were 'everyday Joes.' In fact, if you look back at all the most popular TV shows in history, you'll find that they all share a common theme - characters that mirror the majority. It's easy for me to find a music joke humourous, but tell it to someone who has never seen a note in his whole life, and he won't find it funny.
