Here is a two minute clip of last season's finale. Good stuff.

omg, I can't wait...with all the failing economy hooplah taking place this week, tonight none of it will matter...and the poster who said Ricky Gervais is funnier than Steve Carrell is smoking something I want. I do like Ricky Gervais, but the british version of The Office is drier than burnt toast, and isn't even close to being as funny as the American version.

It's not dry. The humour is intelligent and subtle, like most British comedy.

Ricky Gervais was awesome, however I think the scenarios in the american version are more comical. It's easier to understand the humor, but there's always something great about dry humor as well. I prefer the British version, but the american version is pretty cool as well.

I dont think steve carrell is good at playing the boss like Gervais was. Gervais was an absolute self obsessed prick Carrell seems to...sweet even when he tries not to be. Also I find the humor in the American Office too in your face and obvious, not as subtle and funny as the british one. Plus the American Office doesnt have Martin Freeman. Thats not to say I dont like the american office, to me the american office is like watching friends or everybody loves raymond, you dont have to to think much while watching it. I actually have to pay attention while watching the U.K version of the office. Plus in the U.S version of the office did steve carrell ever do something as awesome as this:D

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OE6P-lwS0lQ

This scene alone is better than anything the U.S Office has ever done. The show Extras is better than both versions of the office though:P

well I guess we differ on comedies. That's one genre of film and TV where I really don't want to think. If something makes me laugh, it makes me laugh...whether I have to think or not is irrelevant. That being said, I love Ricky Gervais..can't wait to see Ghost Town, and Extras was a great show

Fair enough, I like comedy that makes me think though. Alot of George Carlins comedy is like that, which is why he is a favorite of mine.

Eh. I've seen a lot of both, and they're just different. The British version does not automatically get to be "better".

I think to fully appreciate it, you need to see them all in order. The story was the best part for me. Towards the end it gets somewhat serious. >.>

penis jokes are classy and thoughtful. They remind us of our base desires so that we can overcome them. Remember Superbad? :o

Perhaps, but that's not where the funny is at though. I can't really think of many either, except for that joke he tells and how Tim always calls Gareth a cock Even so, that's what some people are like. >.>

Eh, I think people think it's more intelligent because it's British and because of the way they speak. People see Ricky Jervais putting a sex doll in everyone's face and say it's genuis but when someone see it sitting in the corner in the US version, it's unintelligent.

I liked Ricky's character and his boss better than the equivilant in the US version, but I think the rest of the cast in the US version is much better than their British equivilants.

Meh I gotta disagree, the cast in the original office is much better than the American one. Martn Freeman for example is great. The cast aside from steve Carrell in the American Office are all pretty dull to me.

Steve Carell rules that show though..the cast is really good. I love the UK office too but man..UK office doesn't have anything on some of the lines Michael tends to shoot out.

Pam: Why would you want to raise your cholesterol?

Dwight: So I can lower it.

yes, the epic funnies are found on The Office. The second episode of the series, "Diversity Day" is the best episode, and one of the funniest episodes of a show i've seen on TV.

I admit I like the Ricky Gervais boss slightly better than Carrell's, but I still find Steve Carrell funny in the Office. I don't care much for his movies, but he makes me laugh on this show. The centerpiece of the show has always been Jim/Pam for me, not Carrell. I also agree with Jandurin, both versions are so different that I can appreciate both. I still haven't checked out Extras, but will someday. I have it penciled in for 2009 :P.
