funniest part of the episode was when that older white guy said the indian girl had a nice ass. I don't know most of the character's names because I haven't seen too many episodes.
Even though I think 30 Rock is vastly better (funniest show on TV since Arrested Development in my humble opinion), I do love The Office and tonight's premiere was great.
[spoiler] I have to say, even though I'm a guy who rarely likes anything romance, Jim and Pam finally getting engaged was not only Aww-worthy but incredibly well done and surprising. And the tape worm is probably one of the funniest things I've seen on the entire show. [/spoiler]
This wasn't that great of an episode. The best parts were with Jim and Pam. However, I cannot tolerate the presence of Holly. She drives me bat crazy. The relationship between Ryan and Michael was rather distasteful and I didn't like how Ryan was reintroduced. I'm not liking his character.
It's a great show. I'm from the UK, and I think both versions are well written and extremely funny. Steve Carrell does a great job. As for the premiere, it was a decent episode. Contrary to one of the above posters, I think Amy Ryan is a great addition, and seems to be fitting in well with the rest of the cast.
