The original Transformers Movie

So I have that blockbuster thing were they send you DVDs in the mail and I had the three seasons of the original transformers and the original movie in my queue. Anyway something got messed up and I received the movie first and I was very disappointed. Some parts were good put the 80's music just killed it for me.

Its like all the fights were to synthesiser keyboard pop music.

So my question is that if I didn't like this movie should I bother watching the three seasons. I havn't seen them since I was about 7 and I don't want to mess up my fond memories by finding out they are crappy like the movie.

In a side note I also thought The Last Dragon was one of the best movies ever until I saw it as an adult, this kind of thing happen to anybody else?

Thats what I was hoping to hear more of. It seems that most movie adaptations of TV series cater to a more mainstream crowd, in this case perhaps so the parents or older kids would go see it when it came out in the theater.

What the hell is wrong with you? The soundstrack to the original Transformers movie is one of the best things about it. Holy christ.
