The power in my neighborhood went out!

I get home from a long day's work...to find out there's no power in the whole neighborhood. I'm outside in my car with my iPad thinking, we take electricity for granted! Mosquitos outside, bugs, sweating, humid...and I'm in Dallas where it's 105 degrees at 9:00 p.m.

But wow, I remember the NYC Blackout in 2003, it was horrible, because you couldn't see anything when you got outside

My power has gone out twice this year though, both because of storms. It wasn't bad at all actually, I just texted some friends and hung out with my family. Positive thing, I guess :P

It alwayshappens where I work. I work in a country town supermarket, and the building is about 40 years old, so you either have electrical failures for the whole town, or just the building. And sometimes the building actually causes the town to go down :lol:. Also, because there aren't proper safety lights, we have to physically block two departments with trolley's as it's a safety hazard if the lights go out.
