As i wonder over how grade 10 is going to be in my secondary/high school i realised it would be the exact same as 2009 grade 9. Except my peers becoming even more predictable. So here is a typical day at my school and some of the people in it and some true tales from year 9. Walk into roll call. Then I see the narcisstic blond dyed and absolutely laden with gel hair people who dress all black, look like they are anorexic and wear skinny jeans halfway down their thighs. We call them emos (note: only some emos have blonde dye. Most have black "emo" hair.) The funny thing is that, they all basically wear the same clothes, and apart from the emos with blonde hair, have the same hair colour and hairstyle as the others. The only difference is height... My first tale was one where I had been sitting in my history classroom when i overheard this (actual discussion. no joke. Year 9, relatively normal people) conversation between two (dumb ?) but somewhat hot girls and a small guy who always asks guys about their m***urba**** habits ( i reckong he thinks its funny :roll: ) Also im not putting any names into this. Girl 1: isn't 1+1 3? Girl 2: yes, i think it is. What do you think /name of the small guy/ Small guy with unhealthy obsession for other male's "happy time" habits (for lack of better words that won't get me into to trouble with the mods.) : Yeah, it is 3. 10 mins later, Small guy with unhealthy obsession for other male's "happy time" habits: hey /name of anorexic blonde dyed hair emo guy super low-riding skinny jeans/ is 1+1=3? anorexic blonde dyed hair emo guy super low-riding skinny jeans: (confidently) Yeah definitely is. Tries to hit on one of the girls. Fails spectacularly, as it ended with him getting a soccer ball that flew through a window in his face. its not much better in any of the other groups in my school: the jocks participate in various homo-erotic activities. Especially in the sportsfield. (No, as a straight man, getting spanked by 10 guys after scoring a goal is not something I would ever want or like.) They treat it more as a joke but still. Getting liberally man-hugged is not something i wanna go through with every single day The rich girls/guys are either extremely shallow or completely uninteresting. The drama people are basically all rich except most the guys there get something out of liberally man-hugging you... Then there are the two "interesting" groups. One of them is basically all people with home problems like divorce and as such usually poorer than the others in the school (i live in a region where is 10 rich people for 1 poor one). They are the friendliest and probably most interesting characters in the school, although some of them drink, others smoke, some do drugs and half of them do all of it. and they got some mean-spirited pranks towards their friends. Also they have a guy who might actually become a pyromaniac. Hes the odd one out The other is a bunch of misfits, most of whom are the smartest in the school but with personality balancing issues. One has aspergers, another is too nice to everyone and can't make a stand. another one probably has an inferiority complex. And the other people in it are completely clueless in everything. One of the people in that group has never, ever watched the news or read a newspaper. He didn't know who George bush was until he was told in 2008... 85% of the people in my HS i know already basically how their lives will go... The only odd ones I can't really guess what they might do are most the people in the last two groups i mentioned. HS is a sad show of ignorance and stupidity :(
if they don't know what 1+1 is in grade 9, then they royal screwed for the rest of their life... Not that math is that important but that probably means they aren't brightest in any of their classes...
I've never been to a school like that so i've witnessed stuff like that :O
Posts like this really annoy me. FFS try to talk and get to know people before you pass sweeping judgements on them like you are doing now. I guarantee you most of the people you whine about are actually decent enough guys once you get to know them.
Well...people like to belong to a "group"...the ones who are so called "misfits" are the ones that don't care what other people think..they just do their own thing...
And going by what you're saying...yeah...it's pathetic how predictable, perverted and boring people have become..

Not a lot of people try to appear arrogant but his entire post comes across as "Everyone around me is an idiot and a clone of their clique (but I am not)". I believe it is arrogance.
Get to know them and don't judge from one conversation you overheard. Have you seen Seinfeld where they knew someone was overhearing their conversation so they said some outragious things.

i dont think i believe u with that 1+1=3 stuff. you have to be extraordinarily stupid. And for so many people that stupid to be in one room.....i won't believe that. You know, if you don't like these people, and don't care to be friends with them, just give them smugg little remarks when they have these conversations.

I'm just going to assume the 1+1 = 3 thing is a joke about how 1 man plus 1 woman can equal 3, as in 1 one man, 1 woman and now 1 child. Also, it seems like you are obsessed with the lives of everyone in your school. :?
How come you care so much about people's lives? I only know about a few peoples lives because they tell me otherwise I don't care. Btw what up with the 1+1=3 thing, I'm pretty sure it was 7 last time I checked.
