Does it disguist you? Such as those recent Dog Food commercials, on a white background where it's all quiet except for a dog eating food, and a guy saying the dog likes to eat food. I have to switch the channel or I feel like throwing up. It's not so bad with other things, but thats probably because it's never that loud. I don't know what it is about it, I can't even stand the sound my myself eating food, I have to turn up the radio/tv/ect so I can't hear it. At dinner partys I have to keep the conversation going, and loud so I can't hear anyone eating. Am I alone in this? Or are there others out there who find the sound of eating disgusting.
omg i freakin hate the sound of eating....i literally have to mute Hardee's commercials when they come on or it will drive me crazy...worst advertising in the world, who honestly wants to hear the amplifications of someone eating a cheeseburger, which is what the commercials are

to me it depends and what they are eating and whos eating it, my sister sounds like a pig if she eats spaghetti or somthing along those lines, i have to vacate the room

i understand where your coming from! Gosh, i hate that siliva-ry chewing noise, its yucky. Luckily we dont have adverts here where they amplify people chewing.
But i hated watching the scenes in Charlie and the Choc factory with Augustus Gloop eating everything. So GROSS!!!
Im exactly the same. I just dont get why people eat with thier mouths open, I dont see the reason. In my opinion its alot more comfortable to keep your mouth shut. Why people? WHY?!

And it's not just noisy eating. I don't like the regular sounds of mouths opening and closing on silverware, either.
For example, in Jurassic Park, there's a scene towards the end where the two kids think they're safe, so they go eat fruit and pie and stuff. For, like, twenty seconds, it's just the sound of them smacking and clinking and chomping...UGH. I can't stand that part.

yeah chips can be annoying, I find that when people eat food in real life the sound can be annoying, but when it happens in the movies or on tv it's fine to me.
Case and point The Land Before Time my favourite seen is where Spike's eating that grass, man it looks tasty!
