What's so special about being gay that they get their own parades and festivals? What's with gay pride? Singling out homosexuality and celebrating it specifically, makes it seem like it's some wonderful thing that needs to be cherished. It's just another lifestyle. Nothing special.
I haven othing against gay people at all, it's just that you don't see straight people marching around talking about how great it is to be straight. Straight people don't have any special weekends with parades and festivals. Why not? Would it be considered hateful towards gays? Well, isn't suggesting that straight people shouldn't celebrate their heterosexuality, hateful in itself? Are the straight people now the group being oppressed, just so the gays can have their time in the spotlight? What's the deal?
