[QUOTE="Ace6301"]Not very secret now. Also they appear to have a tendency to drop out of the sky judging by the whole 50% of the known ones have dropped out of the sky.emb4yeah, its also kindof loud considering people heard it flying around in pakistan, but i guess it went undetected anyway
The idea of stealth is invisibility to radar and electronic detection, not human senses.
[QUOTE="Mystic-G"]Because it's a modified UH-60 Is that confirmed or speculated?I just wanna say. The Navy doesn't use Black Hawks technically, they use Sea Hawks which are a modified version of the Black Hawk already. So I dunno why people keep saying this is a modified Black Hawk.

The Blackhawk is the base platform, and something that everyone immediately recognizes when mentioned. Why bother confusing people just to be "technically" correct?I just wanna say. The Navy doesn't use Black Hawks technically, they use Sea Hawks which are a modified version of the Black Hawk already. So I dunno why people keep saying this is a modified Black Hawk.

[QUOTE="Ace6301"][QUOTE="Mystic-G"]Because it's a modified UH-60 Is that confirmed or speculated? Well either way the Seahawk is a modified Blackhawk. So either way the new stealth helicopter is a modified Black Hawk.I just wanna say. The media goes into great detail anyway on the subject, just curious why they would leave it out.I just wanna say. Actually, I just read on a few sites that the Army flew the SEALs in. Either way, it doesn't really matter. Most people who don't have interest in helicopters couldn't care less whether it should be called a Sea Hawk or Black Hawk.Just don't see why they wouldn't wanna educate the people even further as they have been about what the Navy Seals are.

Good thing they were attacking a smallish town at 1 in the morning then. Radar stealth is obviously the biggest plus since during the day you'll see it as Blackhawks are quite large and at night you'll hear it since there isn't much noise. Also inb4 conspiracy theorists going on about black helicopters.Yep, both choppers used to raid Osama's house were stealth hawks. On the CBS new just now they said humans cant really hear them past 100ft with your average town/city noise around

[QUOTE="stanleycup98"]Here's some guy's rendering of it:thats actually really good, i think he got it spot on i wonder if the heli will ever actually be revealed in the coming yearsemb4
I dont think so. If the US were the only ones with Blackhawks, sure, they'd show us...but iirc the Blackhawk is in service with many countries all over, we dont want to let on that a stealth copter can be built on a platform readily available to everyone.
I swear I seen a similar helicopter in a video game before. Anyone know any games that featured a similar designed/shaped chopper?

[QUOTE="comp_atkins"]whats left is already on it's way to chinaMystic-GCan China's military come up with any original ideas for their own? Seems like they're always copying. Why spend decades researching when you can easily reverse engineer tech that's available today?
Can China's military come up with any original ideas for their own? Seems like they're always copying. Why spend decades researching when you can easily reverse engineer tech that's available today? Because treasures like the helicopter are rare finds and you would be holding your military back waiting to copy anything good you may come across. On a side note, I can only imagine how much China paid for it.[QUOTE="Mystic-G"][QUOTE="comp_atkins"]whats left is already on it's way to chinacybrcatter
