looks stupid.
everything progresses, even shaving. I get a fine shave with an electric.
maybe we should go back to morse code since that's how "real men" use to communicate
this whole "wet shaving is the purest manliest type of shave" is just ridiculous snobbery.
[QUOTE="XilePrincess"]I shave in the shower, is that the same thing?BiancaDK
I'm afraid not (I came into the thread thinking the same thing), but I suppose I'll give this wetshaving business a try. After reading an article about it just now, it actually sounds... Well, sensible.

It isnt a matter of snobbery, it a way of appreciating a tradition that some of our fathers and grandfathers practised. Just like how some people drive older cars, or use a bow for hunting instead of a gun, ... or read books instead of kindle hahah[QUOTE="Unknownmuncher"]^^^ that would be a very cheap stater set, but thats all you need when you first start out, although i would recommend starting out with a safety razor before a straight razorcoolbeans90
Thanks for the links, and I'd already thought a Dovo would be the way to go. I'm tempted just to start with a straight razor...
You can, the only thing ive found and with discussing on other forums is there's a huge learning curve for a straight razor so you might be tempted to quit after a month since you'll most likely still be cutting yourself and not getting a super close shave. Id say after about 3 months with a straight razor you'll be pretty satisfied with your shave, prob after a month with a safety razor. Then again you can still use a regular razor and use traditional wetshaving cream, brush, and aftershave. While I still use a Gillette Sensor razor, I use these and yes, I sprung for a silvertip badger brush. I get a closer shave than I did when I used Edge Shaving Gel.
I also have a smaller travel brush and travel case for my soap.

It is also quite sensual if you,,,,
Nevermind.8)
I dont have enough facial hair to go that length to shave. I just use a fusion or whatever its called
It looks awesome and I'd love to try it, but I don't want to take a chance of messing up. I don't want to slip while doing that and show up to school tomorrow looking like Two-Face.The-Treeyou'll def look like two face for a few months, i started out by shaving usually on a sat night since i usually go out fri night. Had all sat evening and sunday to heal. I progressed to shaving a few more times per week before my face got completely use to it.

silvertip badger brushes are awesome! I switched from a pure hair badger brush, big difference. That looks totally hardcore man. I wanna try that.rcignonilet us know how it goes if you end up giving it a try!
I wetshave exclusively.
Protip : Arm & Hammer solid deodorant is the best aftershave product in the world. After you are done and have washed up hit your shaved area with a little of this and massage it into the skin. You will NEVER have any problems ever again.

You go to the barber once a week?I never have enough time to do it myself, but the barber I go to always does it for me. Probably my favorite day of the week.
