Out of a movie, book, or video game, what do you think had the worst ending?
I'm going to say the ending to The Mist. For those of you who seen it, you'd probably agree. For those of you who haven't, I won't spoil it.

The ending to the MIst was good, but the acting for that part was horrible.teh_destroyer
I agree to an extent. The idea was very good, but how it unfolded wrong. In my opinion, the movie should have stopped after he got out of the car. Or at least time lapsed a little bit more in between.
I Am Legend had the worst ending in recent memory. Movie was actually pretty decent, up until other people showed up miraculously in the last third of the movie. Then, to make matters worse, they tacked on a standard Hollywood ending that destroyed all of the interesting themes that the rest of the movie had been building up to.
Movie actually had potential, and ended up being pretty much ruined by a bad ending.
As far as best ending, I vote for Terminator 3 (not my final answer, but it's the first good answer that pops into mind). Simply because the rest of the movie was GOD AWFUL. But then, the final two minutes ALMOST made me think that the movie wasn't a waste of time. ALMOST. But not quite. Still, it takes a pretty good ending to make me even WANT to like a movie that was that ****ing bad.

I am legend raped the books ending, I find it sad that after 3 tries at a good book translations hollywood still cant get it right. The closest they got was the last man on earth with vincent Price which was much better than the recent I am legend.
Hah, or the ending to the Friday the Thirteenth game for NES.
You have finally managed to defeat Jason...
But is he really dead?
We're not telling !!
End...
*shudders* Terrible!

No... The ending to that was "You and your friends are dead. Game Over."

Terminator 3's ending had me ZOMG and jumping. I wished that was the only part of the movie

Oh, OK... I've only seen the game in the AVGN review of it.

I never read the book, so I don't even hate the movie on that level. Was it faithful to the book or not? I don't know.
But as a movie, the ending destroyed it. And that's WITHOUT having read the book. So...make of that what you will. It didn't even work for someone who DIDN'T read the book. It was just a BAD ending. Which pissed me off, because I thought that the movie actually started out pretty decent, and had some interesting themes in it.

i loved that movie
but i think cabin fever had the worst ending to a completely random movie
[QUOTE="MasterKingMP"]Spider-Man 3._Scooter_
Oh man! Yes! How the Sand Man came to be was just thrown in there in like a five minute scene. It's so sudden, improbable, random, and senseless. Other than seeing familiar characters, that whole movie was poo.
Yeah. Talk all you want about how Sam Raimi treated the Venom story, but what made even less sense was how Sandman suddenly gave up his dastardly plans for no reason simply because the movie was about to end.[QUOTE="_Scooter_"][QUOTE="MasterKingMP"]Spider-Man 3.MrGeezer

Well that decides it, SM3 sucked.
Jumper. Great premise for a movie had me really psyched. Great action and effects too, as well as a decent cast. But after seeing it, I felt really dissappointed. They spent about 15 seconds explaining the back story and the ending was way too abrupt and unfulfilling.

Jumper was a horrible flick. I felt weird watching Hayden and Diane on film together, they had a weird chemistry. That is one of those movies, where my friends and I couldn't stop laughing in the theater because the movie was just so damn rediculously horrible.
Yeah on the Mist, the acting was so horrible I hated that movie. My friends saw it before me and hyped it to death and to this day one of my buds claims that The Mist is the best Stephen King movie then I watch Shawshank and think how wrong he is lmao...
Worst ending is Halo 2's "I've got to finish this fight!" and then it ended lmao
The ending of Lost in Translation, i thought it was a fantastic movie and is one of my favorites but i need to know what he said to her ear .TanKLoveR
That movie was bad ass, every single aspect of it. That's what made the ending so great.
metal gear solid 4!!! NO!!!! the game i loved so much, why is it the worst ending, because kojima said this is snakes last part in the series, so it means snakes going to die or something similar!!!.
The pain is to much to know a person who has inspired me even if hes just a game character is going to die. I first played mgs when i was 7 and have been following the series till now but i never understood the story much unitl mgs2. Snake is my hero and if this is his end
SNAKE .... R.I.P
WE all love you snake!! :(
Ehm, I don't love snake, I too wish for him to die in a similar nature to what Kojima said. I'd like a game/movie to end at their prime for once and not wait to die out because they become so bad. Final Fantasy should have done it a while back *Raises shield*. Sucks though, cause MGS isn't ending at all, whats even worse is that Kojima won't even be at the helm anymore for the new games. *further raises shield*metal gear solid 4!!! I'm not sure if I understand your opinion. Are you saying the film was bad because Hayden Christiansen is in it? Is there something else? I was very dissappointed in it, but I still feel that the premise was very cool, it just needed a much better script.

Thats a pretty good reason not to like it. Hayden is probably... probably the worst actor i've seen since... I don't even know, but he's pretty horrible.[QUOTE="Film-Guy"][QUOTE="MrGeezer"]I Am Legend had the worst ending in recent memory. probably the matrix revolution, they uh....kinda killed the whole series with the last hour of the movielinkin_guy109
Why? Is there any other ending for The Matrix that you would recommend? I mean it's somehow predictable to viewers but still meaningful.
The game having worst ending I remember is probably Bioshock.
Spider-Man 3.MasterKingMP
Peter Parker hugged MJ, and 4 seconds later the credits rolled. Really not much of an ending. I was hoping that they would get married. I loved the rest of the movie, though.
I'd have to agree that I Am Legend had the worst ending. Why not just let him survive? Gosh.

Yeah bio was short, chucked you back to the title screen and left you with a feeling of "Was that it?" o.O Game itself rocked tho! :) Movie I would have to say The Fantastic Four had a really short ending that kinda left you empty! :?

Agreed, the ending would have been much more effective if Thomas Jane wasnt such a bad actor in the role.
The only good part in the Mist was the part where there was this man eating chicken wings. Remember that scene?
Xmen 3: The Last Stand. that whole movie pretty much ruined the awesomeness of the previous two.
Pirates of the Carribean 2 also had a pretty lame ending
