The worst thing about the forums now is that.......

Is the damn default user avatar. Looking at it makes me cringe and when more than half the posts on a forum is having that avatar it makes me really repulsive to that forum. What was Gamespot thinking by not retaining avatars? And more importantly what were they thinking with such a poor default avatar?

I already changed mine shortly after making this thread. This is my first post in the forums since the new GameSpot so don't call me a hypocrite hehe. But seems like most people aren't changing which is a real eye sore.

Although people in general do not have much respect for each other on the Internet, I feel it has gotten worse on GameSpot, because the rules are no longer what they once were.

true enough,the usual center of activity was the Union,there's no other spambot-free zone other than the union,sad thing is that I close one of them long before the site was severely damaged by this.

as for those who had a fear of the new default avatar,I'll find a role user to show the usual G in the avatar.

It's terrible but since all my old stuff was deleted I can't be bothered to post it again, it may be a waste of time, the sight may change it's look again next week and it's gone again.

Takes faff downloading crap to crap and going through options to make crap happen.

I think we previously had other users around whose post counts were bigger than the current number 2. I don't recall the gap being this big. Jediknightsomething comes to mind but he was banned.

I assumed he was responding to his own posts, but that makes a little more sense.

The other users I think had a lot of union posts, which I think do not count towards the new post count. I noticed that mine went down just a little after the merge, so that might be it.
