Making movies from board games isn't new, they did it back in the '80s with Clue, which...wasn't that bad.
I would think it's impossible to have a "fresh" idea. As long as the movie executes the plot well like Christopher Nolan's Batman series or X-Men: First Class, I won't care as much.
In fact, when you think about it, all ideas are recycled or taken from another source so it's not fresh. But it's how well you execute the idea.
id like to see a live action half life movie.

That reminds me, have you seen Escape from City 17?
And before you ask, according to Wikipedia, they're working on a top secret project that is taking most of the producer's time... So yeah.

And to think there was someone insulting older movies the other day, goes to show you that the current movies are way worse than older ones 8)
[QUOTE="Hallenbeck77"]I watched the trailer and I really want to see it now :x Tim Curry was good in that one, and the cast is made up of primarily comedic actors. There's worse ways to kill 90 minutes. Worth a look.Making movies from board games isn't new, they did it back in the '80s with Clue, which...wasn't that bad.
