Things you do in the shower...

Besides bathing, do you ever find yourself doing other things in the shower? I find I do some of my best abstract thinking in the shower so I just kind of close my eyes and let my imagination run wild. I've written songs in the shower, come up with some of my best topics for essays and papers, and thought of new ways to look at things.Other times I find myself racing water droplets down the side of the shower wall.Anyway, what do you do in the shower?

I do a lot of thinking, possibly some singing, but mostly just the thinking besides all the hygiene related tasks.

the shower is one of the few places where I can just completely empty my mind, relax, and not worry about anything.

this is exactly why I hate it when I am bothered while I take a shower, and grateful water is included in my rent.

Since utilities are included in my rent, I take no less then 20 minutes of relaxing and at least 10 minutes of important business. When I don't have anything to do I usually take nearly an hour in the shower. Woe is me when I have to pay for water and heating.

I've done this, very relaxing. Might I add that the shower is where I think deeply about lots of things.

If I have to pee when I'm taking a shower, I'll just do it right there. Also, I'll clean out my ears with my fingernails. I know it's nasty, but fingernails are far more proficient at getting wax out of ears than Q-tips.:P

Not seen Seinfield. Have all 3 series of Black Books on DVD though - might watch some tonight cause I haven't seen it in a while :) Have you seen any of Dylan Moran's stand up? He's really good in a cynical way :P

I like to stand under the water and think about things. It's quite relaxing. Sometimes I sing parts of songs that get stuck in my head too. Besides that and washing myself, that's all I really do.

Yah, I remember seeing him on some C4 stand up show years back. Funny man. Then again, I'm pretty much in hysterics as soon as any Irishman opens his mouth - must be tough for IRA members to get taken seriously, even with the guns and all that.

Kept meaning to get the Black Books DVDs myself, but never got around to it... Which finally gives me an idea for my Xmas list this year. :D

If I am by myself, I normally just shower, blow my nose and pee. If I have female shower companions, well, I can't go into detail but it starts with a bar of soap and ends with a very satisfied feeling.:twisted:

Relax with the warm water. My mind works better while i relax in there for some reason, so i have to get out quick and do whatever epic idea my mind gives while in there, or else i forget.
