I think I have seen that in the U.S. as well, but it may have been Ipods but they are still of worthy value.

Out of curiosity how many of you would date or marry somone 15 oryounger?
warownslife
Well, I am 15 so if she is 15 I would gladly date her if she isn't really ugly, has a sense of humor, and is smart.
I'v changed my mind. This no longer creeps me out. I'd be happy to date a 15 year old.

Hey, there is a magical button on the screen in the forum posts called quote, use it to save everyone the confusion of not knowing who you are replying to.

Do you have evidence?
Evidence? Sorta. I know people i the U.S. that had intercourse at that age. One of thems japanese. Its legal to marry 13 year olds in certain places in japan.
warownslife
Wait! It's about to get better/worse for you! In Japan, as in many areas of Asia, a newborn is considered to be 1 year of age and they gain a year as soon as they hit a new lunar year so a Japanese person could easily be 2 years older than how they track a person age in the West.
Yay?

Whoa, I thought that was only in Southern/central Asia and the Middle-east?Well...honestly in Japan at least the practice is dying out as the government has been stressing for quite a few decades that adopting the Western system is the way to go but I believe it's still used commonly in Korea and in China they typically list both ages for the traditionalist and the modern folks.
This one thing is ruining my image of japan.
warownslife
And I'm sure that many people in Japan see Western countries as corrupt. It's just different cultures.

No freaking way.... I never really learned much about East-Asian history throughout school, but I suppose knowing really is half-the battle >.>Wow, 13? That is really young to get married. I'm glad it's 18 here.TAMKFanWell with parental consent its 16 or 15.

What does corruptness have to do with the age of consent?Well with parental consent its 16 or 15. A judge has to approve it under 16, parental consent or no. And thy both have to be under 18.[QUOTE="TAMKFan"]Wow, 13? That is really young to get married. I'm glad it's 18 here.warownslife

What does corruptness have to do with the age of consent?I was just pointing out that different countries have different views. Like how some here see this age of consent thing in Japan as "creepy", but those in Japan may think of some of our practices as creepy or corrupt or what not.
Like I said, it's just different cultures.

Many of the babies born out-of-wedlock areto women in the 15 to 19 years age group, with 15,621 live births recorded
for this category in 1996.
It happens, but it's not common.
Japans society and societal constructs are different from the US. I'm sure there are many things westerners do that Japan would frown on. But Japan isn't under US or EU law and can do as it pleases. There are many laws in the world I don't agree with. Japans age of consent isn't really high on my list.
If there's grass on the field ... play ball. Plus its legal so ehh.Shottayouth13-
So wrong but so funny.
