That kind of logic contains 100% pure fail...

you're going to have to explain why. this kind of **** coming from people like you only serves to reinforce my beliefs on the subject matter.

I've seen you post ignorant comments before...and you're as ignorant as I initially thought. I won't waste my time explaining this **** to you since it's hopeless.

sorry jointed, I replied to the wrong post. this is quoting you and responding, take 2:

this best summarizes the conversation taking place now:

me: Explain why I am wrong

you: you're too stupid to understand

"If a corporation finds a loophole that allows it to profit without actually producing goods or services that helps society...that loophole needs to be closed immediately since it's harming the nations economy." - Jointed

okay. now I understand.

That kind of logic contains 100% pure fail...

Why? What he is doing is completely legal. This is a capitalist system of economics, if he has money to buy a company, he should be allowed to purchase that company. Now, the tax side may need to be adressed, but what he does other than the taxes is 100% legal.

These kinds of problems should be solved by reinforcing the economic structure with reforms...

We can apply your logic to various other issues that were once legal...such as slavery, and fraud.

this best summarizes the conversation taking place now

me: explain why I am wrong?

you: you're too stupid to understand why you're wrong

again, does making it legal make it right?

but what is wrong and right is based of an individual or individuals personal values and thoughts. What seems wrong to you seems perfectly right to me,as in this situation. Death penalty is legal i don't think it's right but others may beg to differ. Right and wrong have nothing ot do with this situation.

the original poster was not questioning the legality, as many have said, it's technically legal. the whole point of this thread is wether its right or wrong.

Not really. Fraud is harming someone, as is slavery. If you made this illegal, you'd make every buyout of a company by another illegal, and that's just not possible.

This man is not harming anyone, layoffs and buyouts happen all the time. It's part of the economy.

Yes...he is harming the economy. If a corporation/individual profits without actually giving something back to society...he's indirectly harming it, even more so when idiotic presidents wants to cut taxes.

Harming the economy? So now every company that lays people off is "harming the economy."

What would harm the economy more would be if that company just shut down, because they couldn't operate due to high costs. Then even more people would be out of work.

*sigh*

It's a parasitic company. It's not giving anything back to society...granted there's people working for it but the wealth stays at the top. The money should be circulating the real market instead of this ****.

exactly. Im talking about the principle. You hear this stuff from one source. And by the way, you tube is not a valid source at all. But since this is the only facet you've seen it from, it must be right, huh? A seconds example is you probably hate president Bush (I do too, no worries), but you probably get your opinion from stand-up comedy and shows that make fun of him, not by atually knowing all the facts. I hate people like you.

I'm not going to argue with you. I'm only going to say that you have a right to your own opinion, but you don't have a right to your own facts. These are the facts of the George W. Bush economy:

George Bush is the biggest economic failure since Herbert Hoover. Even the Bush-bots will eventually wake up and smell the destruction.

I've heard about corporations like this before since we have them in here England too. And no, I don't hate Bush...I think he's an idiot but I don't really care about him.

If you're going to accuse people of not knowing what they're talking about....you really should have a superior argument yourself .

I don't hate bush, I hate his policies. His fiscal policy has been horrendous, the tax cuts have been counterproductive and nightmarish, and his reliance on monetary policy (artificially low interest rates set by the federal reserve) has caused the biggest economic crisis since the great depression.

It's not only Bush's fault, it's the fault of the republicans for the last 8 years. Their ficsal policy (or lack therof) has caused the biggest economic disaster since the great depression. George Bush is only a part of the problem.

I'm a conservative, but I'm not a republican (even though I used to support them... I even voted for George Bush). Unfortunately, the republicans have spent the last 8 years dismanting the economy under the guise of 'capitalism;' however, this capitalism was really economic idealism. Economically speaking, I'm a realist. I like Ron Paul, but since he won't win the nomination, I'll be voting for a democrat.

Take an economics class-- it's my minor. Congress and the President are in charge of Fiscal Policy, while the federal reserve is in charge of Monetary Policy.

I have no problem with him getting rich and doing what he wants with his money. The tax breaks he gets though are ridiculous.

At least Clinton and Obama have come out and said that under them taxes would absolutely go up for people like Kravis.
