I hate Jeff Dunham, so it's all good.

Bah. Some people just take comedy a bit too seriously. "Offensive"? Egh. What a world we live in now.Stevo_the_gamerThere are plenty of entertainers that could be considered offensive that get plenty of success. If he really was so offensive, people would be tuning in every week to hear what he's going to do next.

Though the viewers may like him, by goodness did many critics dislike his "entertainment". I see really no need to dissect comedy stand-ups or shows for accuracy or political correctness, or "offensiveness". In fact, Dunham has gone all the stretches in making sure he makes fun of everyone out there--including walks of all races/religions/sexes, ect. Regardless, tis is a subjective thing. Not everyone will enjoy his show--in fact, I only was able to watch one of his shows. Haven't actually had the time to watch each and every one. I've found him to be very entertaining.[QUOTE="Stevo_the_gamer"]Bah. Some people just take comedy a bit too seriously. "Offensive"? Egh. What a world we live in now.Hallenbeck77

Personally, I tried to give his show a chance, but I found it just unfunny. and unmemorable.
I was never a fan of his stand-up, and from the sounds of it, I would probably hate his show more.
I'm not saddened by this.
Once again, Comedy Central kills a funny person by overexposing them.blackngold29No no, you've got it wrong By overexposing him, people are finally realizing just how unfunny he is. Same thing happened with Carlos Mencia.

That still seems like a lot to me -- perhaps the show wasn't effectively advertised enough; heck, I didn't even know he had a darn show until a few weeks ago. A show that gets over 6 million viewers is a damn good start. If there was a second season, and it draws in the same 1.3 million numbers, then I might understand letting Jeff Dunham's Show go while letting him go on to other things, but pulling the plug so soon seems a bit ... premature.
I love Jeff Dunham's stand up specials, I've been a fan for ages. Having said that though, the show was a PATHETIC attempt at a sketch comedy show. None of the episodes did more than make me chuckle at times. He needs to stick to what he's good at, Stand up and Christmas Specials.

In terms of ratings 1.3 million viewers are not great numbers; in fact it's numbers like that that get shows pulled. If you start off at 6 million viewers when a show premieres, have viewership decline over the course of a season and wind up with only a million viewers when the season's done, it doesn't make any financial sense to put money into a second season. No one's watching it.I think hes only being cancelled because he doesnt have enough material to make it an actual show, theyve been playing reruns the whole time no new episodes.

Odd, that seems like a lot to me. Then again, I'm not one to really comment on that due to my lack of knowledge regarding TV ratings and what-not. I do know individuals in the likes ofolberman get less viewers than that but his show isn't exactly cancelled. Of course, they're not exactly comparable but over a million viewers does still seem like a load. A fair one at that. Might not be great, but I do believe there had to be other reasoning in pulling the plug.

The re-runs could be in part due to the show ended, and now they only play re-runs now?
They should have done it with Demetri Martin's show too. He's funny in his stand-up, but his show isn't that great.
[QUOTE="Head_of_games"]the world is messed up because people find him offensive? he is offensive as hell. his comedy hurts people's feelings. i never understood the idea of making laugh of others misfortune and problems. apparently alot of people find it amusing. If they're feelings hurt maybe they shouldn't watch it -_-Link
IMO, this guy is the funniest thing since Bugs Bunny. Apparently the main reason he wasn't getting viewers was because he was "offensive". The world is really getting messed up when a ventriliquist can't have a rude puppit. Discuss.

[QUOTE="Dark5tar1"]I think (if it isn't cancelled have another season of Important Things with Demitri Martin) ITwDM should get brought back.scorch-62There's already going to be a new season of Important Things. Next month, I think it was.
There is? Awesome! I love that show.
He took the whole puppet thing way too far.
Watching his skits, I was a little embarrassed for him. They weren't at all funny and i knew the people that he featured in those skits were thinking "Wow... I'm talking.. to a puppet..."
The whole "I keel u" thing was funny the first two times, then it was all just really annoying.
Didn't really deserve a show... I thought his stand up specials were funny... but by the second time I saw 'em it wasn't funny at all.

THIS.
Jeff Dunham was Hilarious. Achmed made me laugh so hard :P
Annoying Critics:
" All signs may point to the critics. Despite the show's strong ratings, 'Dunham' was universally panned, with some calling his puppets "racist caricatures." Other critics questioned the entire premise of the show."

It's not just critics. Take a look at the replies on this thread. Almost everyone who posts says they never saw his show or that the show was terrible.
