Please, no comments about God doesn't exist and blah blah blah. I just want to know what you thought of the movie. I sometimes had to look away, it was pretty brutal. :?

Yeah I only watched it once. Once was enough haha, even though I liked it. It's a tough movie to watch.Very intense. Not that great the second time though.

I was actually planning on seeing this tonight :PMillenialFair99Prepare yourself, it's pretty brutal. :P But I still really enjoyed the movie.

Atheos-Arkhaios
It's a mega guilt trip and the scene where he finally dies is strange because they had to fit in all the different things that the different gospels report he said. Overall though it was alright. I easily prefer Apocalypto over it, that's definitely Mel's best movie.domatron23Hm, speaking of movies I really need to see...
Very underrated, it seems to have dissapeared from everybody's minds since it was released.
It is definitely one of the most intense and violent movies ever made.
Yes it was very gruesome. Much of the film was jesus being whipped and beaten if I recall. It was still an interesting movie, though they could have toned down the gore a little. EJ902
I actually heard that that movie was a very realistic portrayals of what Jesus's crucifixion would have been like, so I will excuse the gore.
Terrible, unnecessary film. Hilariously, it got away with being about the movie graphically violent movie ever made...and yet if you put out a horror film with 1/16th the violence and graphic gore, parent groups go insane. I personally found the film revolting.

yep.. The Romans were masters of torture.. They would torture criminals almost to the point of death and then kill them by crucifixion or beheading. It probably would have been slightly more gruesome in real life than in the film though.Well it's what Jesus actually went through. Sorry I don't know if you're religous and if you believe he existed but I'm just saying.Terrible, unnecessary film. Ah, so you're saying a graphic gruesome torture porn about a guy who made or may not have existed, enduring tortures he may or may not have, is justification enough to make a film THAT graphic without controversy...and yet a horror about a true story captured on film, that has been proven to have happened, with 1/16th of the violence and gore should be protested?[QUOTE="Andrew_Xavier"]

People die much to easily in movies. A person could easily survive that kind of torture the romans were very precise.[QUOTE="ferrari2001"][QUOTE="Ramen1020"]

I liked the movie, but it was really sad and intensly gore.
Some parts made me want to get in their and kick some butt along side with Jesus.
Kick some Roman butt; yea i'm cool like that. 8)
Nice acting by all actors.

It's not overly gory at all...it is brutal though..and i saw it because of the Crucifixion..as did my family and most of the people i know..so please don't generalize..You're mad the movie didn't get protested..?..Really now..Xx_Hopeless_xXFar from it, it's a great argument to make when people are protesting any form of cinema violence. "THIS MOVIE IS EVIL!" "Sorry, you said passion was okay, therefore you have no claim."

They didnt know any better really... I mean back then it was normal for a roman man to have a little boy who he would teach how to hunt, and be a man etc. And at night the guy would.... You know....the little boy.. Now adays thats like the worst thing anyone can imagine but it wasnt back then its just what people did. People were just different back then. Their value of life was so much different back then than it is now
