Had to wait for someone to youtube this thing because IGN was being lame for me and I know you all dont want me to link it from Perez Hilton.
Enjoy.

When you said, "Tim Burton," I was like, "Yeah," but when I saw, "Disney," I was like, "oh." Personally, I just don't see the point in doing a reimagining if it's just going to be more kid-friendly fantasy. What I'd really like to see is a movie that does the book justice, one that leaves all the adult films in tact. When I saw the topic I was thinking Pan's Labryinth, but now it just seems like a live action that tries to piggyback off the success of the cartoon, like the Jim Carrey Grinch who Stole Christmas.
dont hold me to this, but i believe this movie takes place after the books and its about alice going back to wonderland after both books. i could be wrong though. i think thats why she looks kinda old.
I hate Tim Burton and I hate the cult around Johnny Depp. He's an okay actor.Statutory_AP3
I really like Johnny Depp and am happy he's been nominated for a few Academy Awards, although each time there were actors who definitely gave better performances (imo at least).
I'm getting bored of Tim Burton, I thought his version of Sweeney todd was pretty mediocre. Also he uses Helena Bonham carter too much, I think she is an average at best actress. I think Burton tries too hard to be quirky and different at times.

I enjoyed Sweeney Todd, but didn't think it was anything spectacular. Johnny Depp and Alan Rickman were really why I enjoyed it.

Alan rickman is always type cast as the villain, he couldnt even sing very well. None of the actors in Sweeney Todd could sing that well. I like Alan Rickman, but he has alot more to him than just playing the villain.
Wow, Depp as the Mad Hatter, I think I'm in love! AllicrombieHe makes me think he is Elijiah Wood ahahahaha! But the whole thing looks good to me! Whether I will love it or hate it depends... huge Alice in Wonderland fan so I will have my elitist judgmental face on.

Dogma. He played an alcoholic angel (forgot his name) who was the right -hand-man of God. And he was pissed because angels don't have... certain anatomical parts.[QUOTE="Statutory_AP3"]I hate Tim Burton and I hate the cult around Johnny Depp. He's an okay actor.chessmaster1989

Yeah, but sooner or later you're going to have to accpet the fact that you're biased in this regard and Clint Eastwood can't win that award every year.

He was still likable in Love Actually. When I saw the topic I was thinking Pan's Labryinth, but now it just seems like a live action that tries to piggyback off the success of the cartoon, like the Jim Carrey Grinch who Stole Christmas.Yeah I was expecting something more darker. Even when I watch the Disney version, I always find something very creepy about Wonderland that I'd hoped would manifest in this film. Who knows maybe it does, it's hard to draw any conclusions from a teaser trailer. The cinematography looks great mind.theone86

I'll never stop being irritated that Clint Eastwood didn't win Best Actor in '92... :x
Oh well, at least he won picture/director and Gene Hackman got Best Supporting Actor...
[QUOTE="Film-Guy"]He's made some great films, don't get me wrong, but they're all just becoming the same. Not to mention it's becoming a huge fad to like him, nowadays. I loved Big Fish and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, but everything else is just average, at best.I'm getting bored of Tim Burton, I thought his version of Sweeney todd was pretty mediocre. I didnt Charlie and the chocolate factory at all, Burton really tried way too hard with that one. Depp was trying too hard as well, the original with Gene Wilder is much better.

It looks pretty good so far. But I think it's kinda wierd that they showed the Mad Hatter more than Alice.

The problem with Burton's Charlie and the Chocolate Factory wasn't with the film itself, but with the fact that it just didn't live up to the original film.
Looks like a dark version of Alice in Wonderland (I would really like to see a dark, dark Alice in Wonderland), but not very dark. I like how the cat looks. Hmm..., I'd have to wait to see how it turns out.
DAMMIT! I was skipping all the way here to post this
Anyways. Time Burton and Disney Film should be, rather an interesting combination. I cannot wait to see results
Thanks. Looks great. Tim Burton (and his regulars Depp and Bonham Carter) can do no wrong in my opinion, looking forward to this.MrPraline
^this...minus the whole Charlie and the Chocolate Factory thing...

It wasn't supposed to live up to the original. It was more true to the book, anyway. The problem with Burton's Charlie and the Chocolate Factory wasn't with the film itself, but with the fact that it just didn't live up to the original film.

Tim Burton deserves none of the cult following he enjoys today. Most of his works are adaptations of other peoples creations. All he does is act as the producer on films that promote them by mentioning that it was made by the director of the nightmare before christmas.
Tim Burton is a eccentric filmaker but he's no master of the artform. I find his work to be quite shallow honestly. Very pretty but devoid of any thing else that is needed to make a good film.
