[QUOTE="hoop_hard"]Hello we are not god that we can travel from here to there in 0 seconds.Time will be consume whether it will be milliseconds or microseconds. It can't be negative.I believe that it is not possible to Time Travel.
I do however, believe that if we do travel faster than than time itself then we are time traveling.
Think about it.
How many seconds will it take to go 4000 Miles at 1200 MPH? If you can somehow go fast enough to go 4000 Miles in a speed so extorinary that you will be there in negative seconds than that is time traveling.

Time is man made!!! You can't travel through it, it's just a reference system!Two400Time is absolutely real; measurement of it is made, much like measurement of space. Entropy, if nothing else, is evidence of the reality of time. You can't seriously be proposing that time didn't exist "before" humans invented it. And we are all traveling through it right now.

1. This one is entirely hypothetical and is posited on time travel to the past being possible in the first place, so I can't really address it. 2. As I've said elsewhere in this thread, we are all moving through spacetime at a total speed equal to light speed. When you move through space, your speed through time is lower, since time and space are all different dimensions of the same manifold. It's like having a fixed speed of 50 mph. If you are going due north, you are going north at 50 mph, but if you veer somewhat to the west, you are still going 50 mph, but less than 50 mph in a northerly direction since part of your speed is now westward. It's basic trignometry or vector arithmetic. 3. I have no idea what you are saying/asking here.Three things confuse me.
1.If there is a man A.He comes from the future to meet his childhood A in the past.So when the past A will grow up he will repeat what adult A has done.He will go the past and meet his childhood A.Then again that past A will grow up and repeat the ending sequence. Can u justify this?
2.How can travelling faster slow the time?If a man travels 100 Km in 1 day and a spaceship travels 1000000 Km in 1 day.The time taken is equal only the speed is greater in the spaceship and has travelled a larger distance?
3.If beleive that Twin Paradox theory also then also we can't get back to the past to say that we look like that or we saw this in the future. So wats the use?It only matters with aging.

There might be such a thing as time travel if there was such a thing as time. But there isn't.
Besides, if time travel was hypothetically "discovered" in the future, wouldn't those people have already travelled back in the past to tell the tale? The only way to prevent someone from getting the word out that someone time travelled is to have some government official from the future kill anyone who knows their secret and the memory dies with them, in which case... this would create history lapses.
[QUOTE="sthadji"]Maybe if you go through a black hole in space. I was going to say travelling at the speed of light, but that just slows time down for you; it doesn't provide a route to travelling in time.mmogoon
you mean worm hole not a black hole
Yeah I do. My bad. I think travelling through a wormhole is the most probable answer to time travel.

What's the difference?
They're not even similar. Black hole is where mass is compressed into basically zero volume, that means close to infinite denisty, that means massive gravity, which means nothing can escape it not even light once it's passed it's event horizon. These almost certainly exist.
Worm holes are totally theoretical, so they probably don't exist. They're like shortcuts through space and time
A quote I read somewhere brought a good point:
" If time travel is possible, how come we haven't gotten any visitors from the future?
Is Time Travel Possible? What do you think and why?
According to me according to all the stuff I have read on Internet I believe its impossible.
One theory was of travelling faster than speed of light. But if we travel with the speed of light it is due the increase in speed and not time but still there is a theory that if u travel faster than speed of light and then return to earth u will be half aged than your twin brother.I was not fully able to understand the theory. So what do you think?

The faster you go the more time slows down. If i was moving at the speed of light and you were not, then i look at you, you would appear to be not moving at all because if you were moving like i was then you would also move the speed of light.
Another way to explain it is if i go the speed of light in a ship and i should want to stop it, by the time i press stop, it would appear to me to have been five seconds, but o everyone else i could of been gone five years.
[QUOTE="PickGlove243"]because there's nothing that interesting in this time. Or any other point in recorded history, apparently.A quote I read somewhere brought a good point:

If i was moving at the speed of light and you were not, then i look at you, you would appear to be not moving at all because if you were moving like i was then you would also move the speed of light.I don't think that explains it....if you're going at the speed of light, everone appearing still doesn't indicate them slowing down. The theory is that when something is going that speed, time everywhere slows down so going faster will reverse it. Not just appearing to slow based on someone watching your ship saying "holy s*** he's going fast". When you're flying your light-speed ship and you press stop, you may appear to go on forever to bystanders because you probably are, but pressing the button and braking etc aren't faster to you, they would just seem to be because you were just going pretty fast.Another way to explain it is if i go the speed of light in a ship and i should want to stop it, by the time i press stop, it would appear to me to have been five seconds, but o everyone else i could of been gone five years.

And to this constant question of where all the time travellers from the future are if it's possible, they could be everywhere for you know. It's not like they're going to come back walk up to someone and say 'I'm from the future, lolz" and we'll marvel at his genius, we'd call him crazy. They would know not to do anything.
All that being said, I don't think it's possible, no matter which way I look at it, I can't see someone from now going back to like, the middle ages. Doesn't work for me.
