I start school back up tomorrow but have been waking up around 1 PM everday. Anyone have any tips on how to wake up earlier in the morning around 8 or 9 if it not used to doing so??

Go to bed 8-10 hours before you want to wake up.
I have a feeling that you are getting to bed around 5-6 in the morning if 1pm is your wakeup time.
Get an alarm that shakes your bed. I go to work at 4:00 in the morning and go bed really late, that shakes the bed hard. But tbh I still have a hard time waking up, so what we do we call each other to wake up(coworkers and I). We end up calling each other at least 20x and have a good laugh during the day.
Go to bed early or use an alarm. That's typically what you're supposed to do if you want to wake up early....
If you normally just can't fall asleep when trying to go to bed at 8-10PM then doing hard exercises (Like doing a 40 mile bike ride, 50 pushup, and 50 sit-ups for example) will wear you out. Hit the shower, hit the bed and you should be out cold....
Or just don't go to sleep and try to get through your school day half dead lol
a loud alarm thats rigged to destroy something (thing, not one :P) valuable to you. if you dont disable it then bye bye nice thing. also keep the alarm on the other side of the room so you have to get out of bed to disable it.
personally i find there is little point in going to bed early on the first day of the change. i just dont get to sleep. so if i only end up with 2-3 hours sleep on the first day then thats how its going to be. i wil be tired enough on the evening of the first day that i will sleep at any time then.
Set an alarm on your phone (don't go to sleep starring at your phone as the light from LED screens will keep your brain awake) and place your phone across the room. That way when it goes off in the morning the only option you have for turning it off is to physically get up and go turn it off.
Also it helps tremendously to try going to bed early. If you have been getting up at 1 it means that you need to change your sleep schedule, and getting to bed earlier is the only thing that can do that. It may take a couple of days to get your body use to the change.
I think thats what most people would think of as the ideal evening routine ^^
I always was late in the morning at scool up to the point this habbit made it into the yearbook of our graduation class as a running gag ...
well, it got better over the years ^^ ... still feel guilty when I fail to attend things/ being late because of a messed up daily routine
How about this...
Get your punk ass out of bed in time to go to school. If you dont do well in school, youll end up working at a gas station like those Republicans in Mississippi.
Work hard, play hard.

Yeah, you should have been going to bed super early, so you want to get up early. 2) there are girls there, get yo ass up ! Lol ..
lol @ the "go to bed earlier" suggestions... you guys can't remember what being an adolescent was like, or what? Of course it may depend on the person, but being 14 to 19 I'd have a tough time not shifting my schedule 6 hours later whenever I had a few weeks of holiday.
My advice would be to just accept that the first day is gonna be lousy, sleep the 2 or 3 hours you can, don't nap and by the following day you'll be back on a normal schedule.
Down black cofee and give it about 10-15 minutes after the alarm goes off.
Also this. I'm usually not very conscious when I wake up, but if I manage to get some coffee in me then a few minutes later I'm awake enough to get ready to leave.
Thxx guys I went for the more daring aprouch n stayed up all night.( I knew if I would have gotten less then 8 or 7 hours of sleep I would not have gotten up) So I've been up 24 hours this should help me get to school more as for I would be waking up pretty much in time for school. Idk how this is going to work out though. =)
multiple alarms, and get a real alarm clock. Don't rely solely on your phone's alarm clock, they can lose charge, get random updates that reset them, etc.
Try to get at least six hours, so go to bed by midnight ideally. And don't wake up too late; I like at least an hour between when I wake up and need to leave home so I can shower, eat, and take a nice long poop.
Go to bed early and stay hydrated. Half the time if you feel really light-headed and sluggish when getting out of bed its due to minor dehydration
Also don't do anything silly like drinking Coffee or Monster if you are not used to them. They will give you necessary pick-me-up to get you going but by the time you reach classes it will drag you down. Try slowly and naturally adapting your sleep cycle
Just go to bed at 9 p.m.

Pretty much this... (But 1 pm? dam...)
If u go to sleep at 9... dont use ur mobile... Lay in silence... You will eventually sleep.
Just continue to repeat the process and you will eventually wake up early on...
I would need to go to sleep by 11 or 12 midnight to wake up at 6 in the morning to work... if I need to wake up at 5 I would go around 10 or 11...
putting the alarm clock across the room is for me the only sure-fire method because I'm shit at going to bed early and this forces me to physically get up even if my body is protesting
I can wake my self up what ever time I want. Last 2 year though been noisy where I live and waking up all hours. 2 days ago was 5:30AM and didn't get back to sleep. This morning was 6:50AM and got up. Its traffic noise and buzzing noise what still doing my head in. But be for this I could go to sleep and wake up when I wanted. I not slept right nearly 2 years since moving here as I need it quiet. Just phone in sick. :P
