That's dateline for you. They claim the show is for helping keep children safe, and yet THEY'RE the ones who asked the guy to show up naked in exchange for the interspecies erotica.

The fact of the matter is they were willing to sleep with someone they thaught was a young kid. That equals bad in my book.

i think theyre getting sued because some shot themselves after appearing on dateline, or while being on dateline, and a cop is like "that will make good tv" so they are charging they care more about ratings then making a difference. i read it in the newspaper and havent heard anything about it since though

What a stupid reason to get sued for. They're putting pedophiles behind bars, does it matter if they're doing it for ratings? People will sue for anything.

Those guys are INVITED over, they don't know what the address is, yet they are given the address when NBC knows full well what they are getting those guys into.

Second...these guys are getting in trouble being turned on by 19 year old decoys.

If you can be turned on 19 year olds looking like 13 year olds...then doesn't that say something about human nature?

If you get in trouble for being interested in the decoy, then you should be in trouble for liking ALL 19 year olds. Because liking a 19 year old that looks like a 13 year old proves it is human nature to like anyone that looks attractive, regardless of age. Half of those guys are first time offenders that were expecting nothing more than some cyber fantasy chat.

Not all......but at least half are just some normal average joe with an average job. It's highly unlikely that they would harm anyone. And even if they did have sex....half the time the girl wants it too.

And I stand by what I said that it's human nature.

It's also a waste of money to fight something that is going to happen anyway. Lock up the violent ones yeah, but some older guys honestly just want a normal relationship and sometimes they just happen to meet someone younger, as sick as that sounds to most of you. It's funny cause when I think about I 've heard at least one girl who was in 8th grade say that she was texting a guy who was a graduating senior, and how she said she was 16. smallcaplegend

I've saw the same tye of stuff when I was in high school their where griles going out with guys who where like 30 it was really messed up.

I also remember this time when I was about 15 me and my friends went to "the temple" (place played local rock bands) and one of my friends "max" (male friend) started talking to this guy who was like 30 ish and later "max" got up and walked away leaveing me and my friend (female) my girlfriend and the guy who was 30 sat down next to my girlfriend who is sitting on the stairs behind me and starts talking to her asking how old she is and if she comes here alot and then he starts going on about how she has nice breasts for a 15 yr. old. So at that point I was thinking ok this guy is a total melesty. So I decited to get up and announce I was going to get something to drink and asked both of them to come with me and of course they did cus they wanted to get away from that nasty guy.
