it was running across the road and was hit by a car. the squirrel screamed in pain and rolled back to the side of the road and twitched to death. it was a horrible sight, but in all honesty that is the very worst thing i have ever seen with my own eyes, which i guess makes me blessed, i mean with all the terrible things that people are doing if the worst thing you've seen in 27 years is squirrel being hit by a car then i think that makes you pretty lucky..

btw, i took a picture of the dead squirrel, is posting pictures of dead squirrels a toc violation, gs aren't quite clear on that.

I saw the exact same thing about a year ago while jogging in my town. The tire crushed it, it bounced up in the air and then twitched wildly for several seconds, likely not able to breathe from having had its ribs crushed around its lungs.
Last year my dog that ive had and loved for 12 years broke both her legs she was in so much pain that she had to be put down...i brought her to the vet and said goodbye to her then i saw her be injected with something and i saw her close her eyes for the last time......it brings a tear to my eye just thinking about it.Arsenal140
Yea i know how you feel...we had to put down our 6 year old boxer because of tumors :cry:
When I was younger I lived in a HUGE neighborhood. It took all of five minutes to get out from the middle of the neighborhood, so people were prone to speeding. Anyhow, someone ran over a small rabbit and completely smushed it. It's guts had come out from, well, several places. It's tongue was lolled out and crushed as well. Me, being not-so-smart at the moment, decided to poke at it with a stick. It had all kinds of bugs on it.
