Told I was greedy, what a load of crap..

Im a nice guy.............................. Well I like to offer people stuff. A pencil, paper, food, games. If you ask nicely, I would likely let you borrow it. I also like to give money. I like to donate alot on christmas. Last year I donated around 50$ and I also donate some toys I had when I was a kid. Well people are abusing the kindness at my school. At lunch either 2 or 3 people who are my "friends" ask me if they could borrow at least 1 dollar or 2, they're reasons are they don't have a lunch or I'll pay you back. So 90% I would likely give him money. Well last week, my "friends" ( Im putting the " around friends because they act like my friends, we talk in the library,etc yet I don't know if they're my friends because we like the same things or because they are using me ) ask for 1 dollar. I needed that dollar to pay a friend for buying me a slurpee. I told them "Im sorry I can't give you it." They got upset and begged like it was no tomorrow. Wouldn't leave me alone, and they even had the balls to grab my wallet from me. Well I won the battle and kept the dollar.

Well today I had a sack lunch from home as I need to save up for Alice Madness Returns and some other Art Supplies. I brought some quarters from home so I could buy a cookie from the snackline. But I was short by 25 cents. I looked for some change in my pockets but nope, nothing . I noticed that my "friend" had some left over change from buying a lunch. I asked him nicely, can I borrow 25 cents? He said, no. So I asked another "Friend", he said no. Then one of my "friends" said "Ven, you never give people money, your a greedy person so we will never give you money" I was shocked! They dare say im greedy? All I asked for was 25 cents. I gave one of my friends a total of 16 dollars if you add up all the freaking dollar bills I gave him over the school year, and I all I ask him was for 25 cents and hey says I never give people money? Im upset, I feel offended. I know i get used for someones gains. Im a "yes" guy. You could atleast pay me back or say for once thank you.

But the real question OT is, are these people my true friends? Or are they greedy people who only became my "friends" for money and sense of power( They make fun of me and I allow it). Should I flip them off and never again associate with them?

I would say, with a resounding caps lock, NO. They are not your true friends. They're just taking advantage of you.

This sounds like some really bad teen drama. They don't sound like very close friends if they won't give you a few cents though.

How are you greedy if you're going to give your friend a dollar for buying you a slurpee, then those morons ask for it, you refuse it to them because you're going to be a good guy and repay your friend, then you ask something from them and they refuse? Sound like a bunch of hypocrites saying that you never give anyone money, but giving someone money was the reason you refused to give it to them. Hm... I never had that issue. It was taken much less seriously though. It was like, "hey guys, I don't have money for lunch, *sadface*" "Oh, okay, I'll buy you lunch." Then it was done. It may not even out, but most of the time everyone had someone buy their lunch once or twice at least, so yeah...

I'd say your friends aren't that great. I don't say blow them off, just don't give them a dime. It's a pretty small thing to blow friends off over, or to declare them not your friends.

But it's a pretty big statement by those "friends" to ask for and regularly accept money, but refuse to lend 25c because the TC is "greedy".

While I lend money from time to time, I don't borrow money from friends...it doesn't sound like you have a good friendship going.

However, if you don't ask for their money, and they don't ask for your money, your problem will be solved.

They're also being pretty stupid about taking advantage of him. Logically, it makes sense to just give the TC a quarter so that he keeps giving them dollars. Now the TC is likely to cut off all money for them in the future.

Pretty bad strategy for taking advantage of someone, if you ask me.
