Hey guys I got some updates for this thread. Today, my "Friends" came running to me and asked for not just 1 dollar....but 5 dollars. I didn't know what to do. But thanks to this thread and countless answers by many OT users, I refused. Even better, I didn't just refuse I stood up, took my lunch, and said to them F off and the I flipped them off. They were in some shock. They had :| on their faces. So im pretty happy today, I kept my money and I found a new table to sit at. They welcomed me into the table( couple of art buddies sit there) and they said they won't ask for money daily or even ever.

Sorry, those are some bad friends.

If myself or my friends are short on change for the vending machine at school, we always give each other money.

what grade are you in man ? sounds like behavior from atleast 8th grade or younger. I remember the exact same things happening when I was that age. I was also hanging with such dickish kids in general. Anyway yes I would highly suggest you find a different group of friends. Even if they are just "being teenagers" it's still a sign of rank stupidity/immaturity.

Never lend out money with the expectation of getting it back unless you don't care if that relationship ends up destroyed.

Otherwise, **** people that ask for money and get mad when you won't. I was that kid in junior high that had a mosh of people asking me for gum. Eventually they bugged off when I kept offering whatever was in my mouth.

Your school life sounds really boring..sorry lol.

No your not greedy. Those friends of yours are just immature. Try to find new ones if you can.

They don't sound like friends to me. Seriously, you lend them dollars, but when you want borrow less than a dollar, they aren't willing to return the favor? Sounds like they're just out to use you.

Not a good one IMO. I've lend my friends money and they've returned the favor. That's what friends are for. The guys TC mentioned didn't sound like friends.
