We're talking about desktop computers, right? Is it so hard to picture desktops losing an ever-increasing market share to laptops?

My main household computer is a laptop. I can't imagine myself being the only one. If we pop over to a retailer's website like Dell.com, we can see laptops are being advertised for under $500. I have no trouble picturing laptop sales exceeding desktop in the coming year.

Gamers (or at least the type of gamer who requires the latest and greatest hardware) make up a very small percentage of the PC market.
