No, not the movie, the TV show!

Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles didn't normally see great viewer ratings, and the Friday night death slot didn't help one bit. Now, with the second season drawing to a close, Fox still hasn't made an announcement on whether or not the show will be renewed.

Perhaps we'll see Fox go for one more season, to see if the movie increases ratings. Or this could be the final hurrah for another great sci-fi show.

Thoughts? ...Have you even watched the show? (You should)

Never seen it probably never will either... They don't send the show here I think. Sad for the fans if they end it.

I've enjoyed the show, but it is not being renewed for another season, which is why the director is ending it.
I'm not looking forward to everyone being killed off.
Never seen it, don't want to see it, probably will never see it. Though I feel sad whenever a show people like, a show that is well done, goes off the air. I'm pretty sure they are going to kill off my beloved show "Kings" :(

Another corney show bites the dust. TV companies need to start watching classic shows from the 70s and 80s and compare them to the current crap. Maybe they will see what they're doing wrong.

The show is actually getting good now. It deserved the low ratings it got during Season 1, but Season 2 actually had some really great episodes.

It would suck if it got cancelled NOW.

No, the episode is a cliffhanger; some stuff is getting addressed, but they aren't killing everyone off, at least according to the showrunner, who said that when the episode was in production they still had no idea if there would be a third season. However, the sets have been struck and pretty much everyone has moved on to other projects.

I expected Terminator to be crap but I thought it's been pretty incredible; show that is pretty thoughtful, yet has some great action. Shirley Manson's character is great and they do some pretty amazing things for a TV show, IMO.

I agree. First few episodes were mostly cheesy action, but then it really picked up. Seriously, the season finale alone was better than most stuff on TV.

Season two was nice that it focuses a little less on action and some more on the characters, the only real downturn IMO was the Three Dots story arc, which I think they finished off with a fantastic episode.

Personally, I thought the second season really started to drag when Sarah started having the visions about the dots, and I've really started to lose a lot of interest ever since it came back from the break. This season is over three times longer than last, and I think it's really showing. There were a couple of episodes where there was a lot of buildup and I kept waiting for something suspensful ro a big reveal, and it turned out to be just nothing. I would be disappointed if they cancelled it outright because I still think it has potential, but I do think it needs some creative changes. If they did cancel it, though, it's just one more reason for me to hate Fox. Arrested Development, Firefly, Futurama, I've come toaccept that the only Fox shows I like watching will inevitably be cancelled.

I was just looking around for cancellation or renewal news, and I didn't din any, but I did find that the ratings from season one to season two dropped off by almost a third.

I'm a big Terminator fan but haven't got around to watching this yet. I bought season 1 on DVD but I just haven't found the time amongst all the others shows I watch. At least it's going to have a real ending and not overstay it's welcome instead of dragging on for 7 seasons.

Saw a few episodes and it seemed pretty lame. I actually found myself bored and flipping through the channels looking for something else. And I happen to be a huge Terminator fan.

Can't say it will be a huge loss if it goes off the air.

Terminator woundt be that popular as it still is today, if it wasnt for its unique storyline.

The movies were superb action movies with a story that could make you think. Thats impressive for an action movie.

Ive been following the series. Its decent, but I feel like they havent touched on many things. If someone told me 5 years ago that there were gonna be a terminator tv show, then Id never imagined it to have this small amount of content. Sure the budget on the show isnt as high as in the movies, but even the storylines havent been that exciting.

Season 1 was decent, season 2 started well, then it became one of the most boring shows Ive seen, then the last 3-4 episodes it has been quite exicing again.

It baffles me though to see a show like this get so little viewers and then see sing shows or reality shows gets massive amount of viewers. The human race ladies and gentlemen :)

I was kinda holding my breath that it wouldn't end tonight. The ending was pretty good, I liked the whole reunion thing, it just seemed really abrupt. After the series got the go-ahead for a full season I thought they'd at least get an extension to a third season, but I didn't realize until tonight how bad the numbers dropped off. Stupid Friday schedule. Ijust get angry that Fox keeps moving programs with decent fan followings to crappy timeslots whenever they begin to dip. Ah, well, just have to resign myself to watching whatever sci-fi I can dig up on Hulu and Netflix.

It's the nature of the way TV runs. Advertisers demand numbers, TV studios demand production value, and TV shows have to either get audiences to tune in consistently or they die. What I wish is that advertisers would just cut the middle man out and fund people like Whedon who have artistic visions for their shows to make on-demand programming.
