OK here are my top 3(in order):

1. Mushishi - sad barely anyone is aware of this show.

2. Death Note

4. Air Gear

5. D. Grayman

Mine's a generic top 5. But I find it hard for anything to top my first 2.

I only watched the first episode, but Death Note seemed kind of lame.Jandurin

It looks like you missed out then.

Yeah first episode is lame since it looks like yet another super power B.S of god of death thing, but it quickly picks up as it becomes a story of killer and detective, and their battle of wits.

First half of Death Note is great, but 2nd half.... is pretty much garbage. Not a great anime, but it is interesting enough to be worthy of your time.

They are fillers.

As a general anime rule, you are allowed to skip fillers.

Everyone always says the second half of Death Note is crap. I actually really liked it. It was still very intense and still had me at the edge of my seat at plenty of moments. I'd agree the first half is better, but the second one I found was still very good.

The reason why 2nd half is bad is because of decisions the characters make.

2nd half? Things gets way too idiotic.

The intensity is still there, and the drama is still there, but the wits disappear after first half. In an anime that's about battle of wits, that's too huge of a flaw for me to let it slide.

Granted Thriller Bark arc was not One Piece finest, but it was still good.

How could you say no to Brooks?

Besides the original mangaka is at a point where he is moving One Piece to another level. Things are changing in that series and Thriller Bark was simply Oda just wrapping up the first half of One Piece story.

It will get better. No it has gotten better. Just stay tuned.
