[QUOTE="Jandurin"] I like Samurai Champloo more. Dunno why.Yagr_ZeroI'm more of a science fiction guy, plus the fusion of jazz into the storyline bought me for Cowboy Bebop. I guess in the world of fantasy vs. science fiction, fantasy has always compelled me just the slightest bit more. Dragons > Spaceships.
[QUOTE="Jandurin"] I guess in the world of fantasy vs. science fiction, fantasy has always compelled me just the slightest bit more. Dragons > Spaceships.Yagr_ZeroEh, I grew up watching Star Wars, hence my fascination with everything space oriented. I do like fantasy, but I haven't seen too many good ones in the anime department. Ah. I was speaking more generally what I like, not specifically related to anime or anything.
[QUOTE="Hoobinator"]Ergo Proxy.RedgarlMy firend told me it was inspired of Clive Barker - Imagicka
even though i watched the whole series i never understood the anime lol
also i would like to add to my list claymore so awesome
A few people I know that watched it didn't like the complete change of pace in the middle of the series. What makes me angry is that almost no one (besides you and a few others) have Trigun on their lists!

Uhh..I've seen somewhere around 110 anime series & movies in full (give or take), but I can't say that I have any particular "Top 5 Favorites". Even if I tried to make up a list, I'd probably answer a little differently if you asked me again the following week.
So just to give you an idea of my tastes..here's 5 shows (in no particular order) that I really enjoyed:
-Monster
-Planetes
-Higurashi no Naku Koro ni (OVAs soon, woo)
-Last Exile
-Kanon (2006)
I probably couldn't even organize a "Top 5 Favorites" for certain specific genres.

Ergo Proxy is difficult to watch and understand. It takes mental aptitude to sit through and decipher the meaning of the pictures before you. Not for everyone just people that are hardcore enough, like myself, to truly appreciate it.[QUOTE="TriangleHard"]Galaxy Express 999?Jandurinnever heard of it ouch, that hurts. It is one of the greatest and most important anime ever created. You should really check it out.
You should really check it out.TriangleHardFine :o There are a few good recommends I've received from here.
Have you seen the Mushishi live action movie? I thought it was a great story and leaves me much interested in the anime itself. Also, the movie is directed by my favorite anime artist Katsuhiro Otomo.OK here are my top 3(in order):
1. Mushishi - sad barely anyone is aware of this show.
2. Death Note
3. Bleach
4. Air Gear
5. D. Grayman
8)

I didn't know there was more than one anime in existance. I'm still trying to get past the 200 of the 240 episodes of Naruto that are a total waste of space.
To be hoenst though, I can only name a few as I've only watched these ones

Bleach is actually very good at the beginning. However it begins to take a nose dive into generic Shonen territory after the first season.I didn't know there was more than one anime in existance. I'm still trying to get past the 200 of the 240 episodes of Naruto that are a total waste of space.

- Trigun - By far my favorite. It was excellent and comical the whole way through.
- Death Note - Sucked at first, sucked way worse at the end. It was good in the middle.
- Naruto - As others have said there's just too much darn filler. Nothing happens in an episode. It takes like 6 episodes for a fight. Ridiculous.
- I watched a few episodes of Bleach but I started in the middle so I couldn't even figure out what the heck was going on. Just random people fighting all over the place. I wasn't impressed.
- I saw an episode of Dragon Ball Z once. It made me want to break my TV.

In all honesty I have no idea. I've got the manga books up to number 13 and I can already see where it's going. I like to call it the "Z rhythm".[QUOTE="joopyme"][QUOTE="AirGuitarist87"] Bleach is actually very good at the beginning.
