So Pitchfork.com came out with another one of their lists--most recent being this.
Frankly, I'm disappointed by the list as a whole. I do agree with Kid A being number one, because even today it still has the same effect on me as it did nine years ago. I feel that no song sounds dated, the album inadvertently gave a higher tolerance to stubborn fans who originally wouldn't think twice about any form of electronic music and finally, Radiohead completely succeeded in capturing the proverbial tyranny/rise of technology and the Internet (a scary thing if you dissect it's existence today, while theorizing what it may bring tomorrow). Radiohead destroyed the foundation they built throughout the 90's and made something they wanted to make, appropriate for the world around them, whether the fans appreciated it or not. This album was more of a development in rock's history, than another piece added to it's existence.
Now, as for the rest of the 199 albums, I'd say about 50% of them actually belong on the list; so I'd like your opinion, what's your pick for the top album (singular) of the 2000's and discuss why.
[PLEASE avoid flaming, don't post "All new music sucks" or anything of the like.....and don't post Muse's newest album--Ten years is a long time, think harder than that]
